Have sent you a PM with a link to the actual photo which is much better quality than the scan of the actual programme. Great photo's as usual Rick.
-
yeah, was severely tempted by one, but my 300 Raga was perfect on sunday at the Bemrose. Think it helped following Dan Thorpe and realising quite how good a 300 is in 3rd gear.
-
May still have it, will check when i get home.

Here's the remaining ones,
23rd March Chris Carter
24th March Lomax Cup
27th April Victory Trial
8th June Alan Trophy
17th August Presidents Trophy
21st September Mid Wales
28th September Travers Trophy
Not sure which (if any) have a separate route though

Great day , pretty much last to leave and hadn't heard any results. Dan Thorpe was riding well and Craig Robinson was the only rider to get out of section 21? for less than a five!!

My first GG was the first ever Raga Rep which was a 280 and although it took a while to get it under control (after about 5 250 Betas) i was amazed by the grip, smoothness and the fact that it effortlessly goes up pretty much anything you point it at, 300 has been the same, both very usable power. Can get a little tiring at a long/hard trial though. Plus this 300 Raga seems to shred tyres
-
250, i've had 280's and 300's for the last 6 years and swear by them, but am being converted to the ideas of a 250 for myself. At normal club trials its fine but if anything i think its making me lazy as its so easy to just point my 300 and fire it up things.
At a harder trial theirs defiantly an element of attempting to keep the bike under control a little which obviously takes a little away from my ability to ride.
Would of missed my Raga Rep but now it seems theirs an option for me to have a 250 Raga

Welcome Will be in San Fran in May, are their any good trials on that i could visit?

Their was some problems with usage a while back. All my family wrote in to the council in support but got little back. I know that when Terry Crabtree had spoken with the council they'd only mentioned the complaints and not the supporters.
Pretty sure they've even complained about the toilets being there. Going to check through my photos and results but that'll only be back to around 1982-83
Really sad that people haven't got anything better to complain about!

Paul Edmonson - Extremely good trials rider, pretty handy on an Enduro bike and before that he was a top cyclo trials (biketrials) rider.
-
Very good job, looks very nice, like the red brake hose routed along the swinging arm. Mine split a few weeks ago at bracken rocks so its defiantly worth doing.
-
Think Simon at Kelcote does them, have seen a few that he's done and they've always looked quality. Think he's pretty good value from what i've heard. Always mean to get mine done but never found the time.

Start with biketrials and use various techniques to improve your balance.
When you move to your first Motorbike, use different motivators to stop you falling off.
If you can't get over the log, try other methods! Perseverance will work.
As you graduate to more powerful bikes, you'll need to find ways to keep the grip!
At first you won't be able to afford a minder to tell you 'its ok at the back'. Use whatever methods you can.
Big steps may seem daunting, but, you'll find a way.
If attempting trials such as SSDT, don't skimp on spares, you never know what you'll need on the moors.
Finally, if you make it to the top. You may get asked to ride as a team in the Trials des Nations
Good luck

Do the trial then stop at Hawks Nest on the way back for an hour!!!
-
worth driving that bit further to do the Macc trial, always very well run

Government Health Warning.
DON'T SWALLOW GUM, ESPECIALLY WHEN EXERCISING.

Back in WTC days rules stated that we had to have between 6 - 8 working gears, a lot of us had a cassette built with 8 gears of the same size, pretty hand in case it slips. Nowadays i have a bike set up with working gears in case i need to get some speed up for rolling on the front wheel etc. If i'm doing big stuff i use the single speed.
Depends on how far your likely to travel to ride!?
-
Great photo's. Have a possibility of working there for a while!
