  1. My son has been riding with this battery for 16months and it works very well.
  2. The ELERIX LiFePO₄ Prismatic Cell I’ve referenced has the following specifications: • Nominal Voltage: 3.2V • Capacity: 15Ah • Maximum Continuous Discharge Current: 3C (45A). Which is more than enough for the 1200W or 25A necessary for the rated. • Peak Discharge Current: 5C (75A) for up to 3 minutes. The peak discharge current is at second level during high torque demand. There is the documentation provided by Elerix that showed we can go even higher if it is not for long. And the OSET controller manage the peak discharge current in short time (100A).
  3. The Oset 20R features a 100A controller and a 1200W motor (at 48V). The motor’s continuous power rating is 1200W, meaning it can sustain this output without overheating. However, the motor and controller can handle peak power bursts significantly higher than 1200W for short periods.
  4. Did you find the answer ? I'm also interested as I created a LifePo4 battery and would like to charge it directly with the original plug (that i'll put in the new charger).
  5. Hello guys, I created a 15aH LifePo4 Battery for the OSET of my son. At equivalent capacity, 10aH, the Lifepo4 will give better autonomy than the original lead batteries because the efficiency is much higher (95% against 60%)... I chose LifePo4 cells because they are safer than Li-ion (no risk of explosion or fire). Now my son can run x3 time longer and we won 8kg on the bike ! Please find in the attached file the full procedure if you want to create your own too. I put all the link to buy the components. Then all the setting for the BMS are explained in the attached file too. I chose this ELERIX brand because it fits into the bike once assembled, but also because we have the guarantee of the quality of the cell. When you buy from China, there is a lot of chance of buying cells that are already used and with less efficiency (it should be Grade A). Hope this could help you Sylvain.
