I do know a certain person close to me that tried riding a bike in, popped a gentle wheelie, then tried to do some sort of front wheel stoppie when it landed in the front wheel holder. Flickinging the back wheel up and around did not happen tho, just made a mess of the tailgate on his lasses car. They are now not together !!!!!

The bike will move about a little, just make sure you use all of the strapping points, ours has 5, Just make sure whatever rack you use you strap it on TIGHT Then stop thinkging about it. If the towbar is there, so is thi bike If the footpegs look too close use a small elastic to hold them up. A cable tie each time costs pence, does the same job. There is no way a rack manufacturer/re-seller can guarantee that any bike will be OK on any certain car. I have used one for years on different vehicles, but you do have to take care! Bit harsh that "theused" I DO KNOW that the UK ACU folk get a pittance travel expences, and there may be only 1 at an event and not every event will be somebody representinting the ACU, That person is subsidised by the FIM. A few years ago the manufacturers asked the FIM to spread the WTC round a bit to get new continents/countries involved so as to expand their market. Now they wish they had not asked!!! How many bikes are they going to sell in Guatemala do you think!

RENNIE, in reply to your post, some of us including BDMC did not get home until late Monday AM. Then had to go to work after having 8 days of setting the trial out in terrible weather. Good job we use our holiday entitlement eh! Even I who have my own business can only spend so many days off related to trials. We have families/wives etc. (my wife hates trials) Return home again LATE Monday pm, and guess what. I WAS GOOSED. Please feel free to take part in the organisation in 2007, your input will be MOST welcome. It may well give you an insight into REALITY. But it seems you have never made a mistake have you. Just another thought: No wonder clubs struggle to get people to help out voluntarily when there are wingers like you.

An extra 3 sections means an extra 13.5 minutes riding time. Riders had 5 1/2 hrs it was well dark when the organisers had finished, then had to get something to eat before setting off for home Monday! How much longer do you want. It took over 1 hour to do 3 sections (easy ones) To me its time the riders found top gear! If there was 10 sections in a trial the riders always take their time.

Have a look on the ACU's website, I believe Andy may be away at the moment. Follow the link to trials results/news. A good few riders hung about so much on the 1st lap they asked for 5s on the final lap to avoid time penalties.

Just a little note, as you turn off the Skipton to Grassington road to the venue there are some ROAD CLOSED signs, however the road is closed above the entrance to the venue so no worries. It will be well sign posted, until somebody nicks the signs !!! See ya Sunday The venue is approx 1 & 1/2 miles from Skipton on the Grassington/Kettlewell road, after the Craven Heifer pub (on the right) carry on for 1/4 mile, SLOW down, you will be turning SHARP left, up the hill 500M and its on thi right.

Personally I think delegates from clubs/centres should get off their behinds and get to the forums! Let the clubs pay expenses, travel down Fri night, have a few beers/curry etc then attend the meetings. Talk to other clubs etc and meet up FRI/SAT, that fires up the ammunition! They can be very informative, you meet other trials orientated folk from around the uk and believe me you do learn something. Not always or all from the ACU but from other folk. The NAB is addingham ! Although Sunday the 8th you must get to Skyrakes nr Skipton for the final round of the 2006 Adult Trials Championship. Watch and learn is the object of the day!

Hello, the next Bradford Club beginners trial is hopefully the 28th October, the venue will be near Silsden, keep an eye on the club's webiste as I away from home now until 20th Sept.

I will try to get some pics taken, of the exhibition and the trials demo. Hope Richard can too if Im a bit busy.

Bradford & Dist MC Centenary celebrations continue at the Bradford Industrial Museum on Bank Hol Monday with an arena type trials demonstration, skips, car(s), BIG tyres etc, also in the museum itself is the exhibition: 100 years of Motorcycle Champions, Videos showing continuously, some fine examples of trials. road race and other machines from Doug Lampkin, Mart Lampkin, Bill Wilkinson, to name a few trials Champions, and some many reading this will never have heard of. Also for the road racing fans some fine examples from that disciplie inc David Jefferies winning bike. Besides the machines there are many exhibits from both the Bradford Club's history, and the history of motorcycling itself. At the same time have a look around the rest of the museum, working horses, industrial hertiage, motor museum etc. Well worth a visit I can tell you. Bradford Industrial Museum, Moorside Road, Eccleshill. Bradford. This could be the last time you may see anything like this for FREE, please do come along for an hour, 2, or the day.
