    Rev 3 Gearing

    What front sprocket did you run with the 43 rear??? I'm looking to do the same sort of thing with my rev 3... I've tried 11 front 41 rear and 10 front and 42 rear. Was sort of hoping I could go 9 front 43 rear. Whats other people using ????
  3. Drop us a line mate and we could hook up for some practicing... I'm not that far from plymouth and ride with the launceston club... Theres a easy trial this saturday at moretonhampstead if your intrested. I'm not that good and only go for the laugh and the days ride.. I've got one or two places to ride if you want some pactice first..I think devonport club is going to be your nearest and they have a trial on the week after near pricetown... lets us know...

    Beta Rear Shocker

    Sorry can't help you with a second hand one, but would like to know the going rate for a new one.. Mines getting near the end of its life now i've started doing some big drop offs .. Its all rigth getting up on these big rocks its the getting down bit that knackering my bike...

Have a look at your jet size in the carb, most of the beta guys are running a 145 main and a 27.5 pilot with a bpr5es plug... not saying it will work for you but it made my rev 3 run like new with no plug foul.. Your not going to do that much damage with water up the ex'pipe apart from reck you packing.. Like slack said the best way is with bucket and sponge and a hose pipe... Let us know how you get on...

  7. fitted my Renthal fat bars tonight... went right on without worrys.. not had a ride with them yet but there sure feel nice...

    Blinging Up A Beta...

    My first line of this post was " If money was no insure" .. so this means if you buy a out of the crate bike or the bike you now own old or new.. I like the thought of after market products as there is a lot of reseach and development that goes into there makeing.. most parts are of a better quaitly than stock and are made for the sole purpose to make the bike preforme better.. To buy a new bike each year is good, it keeps the manufactures makeing new bikes and improveing on the last model, but they are built to a budget..

    I got my jets from BVM and they cost less than a fiver ,got here the next day, took 20 minutes to fit and made a big impovement... Go on spend your money...

    Blinging Up A Beta...

    Yer tryes are nearly new and blown up to 5 psi back anf 7 psi front. (Michilin x11...) Had the supension set fairly soft too and i'm always smooth on the throttle The trial was in a dark blue-bells woods and the top 2 inchs of the mud was very slipply.. The sections where long muddy climbs with lots of tree roots and fallen trees to get over and plenty of mud... Bikes been running very well now thats its rejetted..wasn't just me there where lots of us haveing problems with grip. Still it was a good day more 5s than cleans though...

    Nobody escle got any bling idears for there beta... I'm thinking of a two wheel drive after my Trial on sunday,, couldn't find grip for the life of me...
  13. If money was not going to be a issue what would you buy to bling up a beta.. Factory parts for the engine .. Trick bits to add a little style... Flat slide carb for more power.. Better supension ... Sticker kit to look a bit different..... Add some links of the parts you might or do use so we can all have look and any photos of bikes already done to the max.....
  14. What would help me on this one is if any of you who have either the standard fat bars or the renthal fat bars could give a measurement between to center of the holes on the clamps...
  15. thanks for the replys guys, I do have Up side down forks but the mounts are in two parts... so are the holes all standard size???? Anyone have a link to the rethal site or anywhere escle to buy them.. The V-mar look the bizz, how do you rate them??? Are they avilable here in the uk.??? thanks
  16. As above rellay. Would like to know how easy it is to fit a set of fat bars to a beta rev3 2000 or would it be easyer to fit a set of a newer year, say 2006-2007... thanks
  17. I've got the fork seal to do on my 97 techno. i will measure the spacer when they are apart and let you know.. last time i did them i only put 340 ml of oil and this was fine for me .

    Beta Rev 2000

    Thanks for the adivce guys, been out in the work shop tonight fitting the new pilot and main jet. Only had a quick ride around the garden and it does seem better. Shall have to wait till the weekend and have a good test ride before the club trial on saturday afternoon..Should be some mud around so that will a good test. Going to wait a week or so before fitting some boyesen reeds. Do you rellay think that they make that much of a differacne???? Got the fork seals to do tomorrow, does any one know the amount of oil that they take..???? Thanks again for the help...

    Beta Rev 2000

    Thanks guys all help is good.. I've clean all of the exhast and repacked the silecner.. Would like to know a little more on the timeing side of things if anyone could explain in depth would be helpfull. I've got a order for Lamkins so will put a 140 main jet and 27.5 pilot on it and see if this helps.. I will also try some better petrol as are shell garage sells shells v force.

    Beta Rev 2000

    Thanks half a tire... should have said a bit more of what i've done and checked.. I've replaced with new, the inlet manifold and air box rubber and fitted a new air filter with oil and fitted new starderd reeds.. so as far as that goes, all new, no air leaks.. Carb has been apart for a good clean with both jets taken out and cleaned and the float level is set corect.. Also choke has been apart and cleaned.. Plug is new with the gap set to 0.5 by me. NGK BPR5ES.. Main jet is 150.. New thotal cable fitted and twist grip. Miture 80 to 1 normall unleaded.. neadel set to lowest setting. The problem is the revs don't pick up immediate from low down makeing it a little hesitent to ride and theres quite a bit of popping comeing from the exghast note..

    Beta Rev 2000

    Looking for some info on how to setup my beta rev 3 270 on a 2000 modle.. Can't seem to get it running right. to me it seems to rich so i've drop the needle all the way down and one turn out with the air scerw.. still to rich.. i'm running a bpr5es plug and and a mixture of 80--1 with normall unleaded... The main jet says 150 on it ------ is this right??? Any help would be greatfull..
