hey,
mayby Graham Du Feu if he is riding (not seen a list yet) or Len Hutty, those bikes look so nice on pipeline
regards bob
-
tried that
plugs had godd number but the thing where the cap fits is to big (not a bolt you can remove)
the bosch type works fine and i can get them here in a car shop for 3 euro (ngk is 17 at the trials dealer)
regards bob
-
hey,
i have problems with the clutch to after a lap or 2 i have to adjust the lever and clutch becomes verry on-off,
i ride on the clutch all the time i just cant ride a tlr 250 without clutch (expert twinshock) other than that the bike is quite good (still stock)
i use denicoil 15-50 for wet clutch and change after 2 trials
regards bob
-
hey
yep the plug sherco recommends is good but not easy to find, i run a bosch now countertype of the ngk sherco recommends works verry good
wil look for correct nr asap

He is one of the best of all time but ,
never forget Sammy got well over 1000 wins, thats 20 years all sunday's
in Jordie's time there were less 2 day events and he to was 7 times world champ and his style was just revolutionary
it is just impossible to compare let alone say who is the best
regards bob
-
thats true
top quality had one for 2 years never problems,
but performance for top level riding is just not there, i guess if you would have a top 4rt it would cost you 3000 euro extra so that makes 10 000 euro
regards bob
-
sorry misread your post
idd changing bikes would show the best rider
i tought you meant bou on a stock mont and raga on the GG and so an
sorry for my to fast answer
regards bob
-
hey,
not on a stock 4rt he would not have the power or the shocks to clean some of those wk sections
still he is a great rider and poss the best current rider, but a stock 2 stroke is a far better bike for those sections than the 4 rt
regards bob
-
hey,
no they not stock but just well prepared, toni bou's montesa is more than well prepared its nearly alien technology
i only hope montesa uses the info they got from that bike and bild a better 4 rt for us ( i had a 4rt for 2 years and really liked the bike )
in belgium there was a top rider that was on montesa for some years but it was verry well prepared and worked verry good now he on a beta (290)
regards bob
-
i hope so still it is a lot of money, hope that one day montesa does something with all they have and sell us a bou replica not just a bike with nice stickers
regards bob
-
hey
yep i' going
riding the yellow route (honda tlr 250)
best trial i ever went to
regards bob
-
hey
thats easy,
they are expensive and not competition ready and it costs a lot to get them competition ready (new rear shock, exhaust, big bore kit,...)
for a clubman the stock bike is ok but topriders need more power. the bike toni Bou rides is not the same 4 rt you and i can get in the shops.
a 2 stroke is cheaper and performs better stock
-
hey
i 've heard from verry good source that toni bou's bike is 300 000 euro, the bikes the other guy's ride are almost stock (not more special than other tricked out gasgas/beta/...)
i would like to see what toni can do on a stock mont and if he would still be unbeatable.
regards bob
-
hey,
here in belgium most top sherco riders use them and a lot of montesa riders to
regards bob
-
nice to be able to hear the difference, do you lose a lot of power with the low noise exhaust?
regards bob
-
-
hey,
wat carb settings are u using?
if the bike starts badly wen hot give it some more air (turn airscrew outa bit) it helps on mine
also set the tickover a bit higher
regards bob
-
hey,
i've tested the 300 some weeks ago and liked it a lot; chasis and suspension are great
the bike feels light end nimble and gripps good
not so sure about the engine, it seemed a bit flat in low revs, i found it reacts a bit slow when giving it some gas comp. to my sherco 4t
but in total a great bike
-
hey
i use 2nd and 3th a lot but always in doubt wat to choose 2,5 would be great will try the 10T front sprocket once
on my mont i used a lot more 1st 3th was to much for most sections
regards bob
-
hey
have the jitsie pants for 2 years now verry happy with them, not so much padding in them but fine for my the big J shaped emblem protects good to
regards bob
-
hey,
have a 2007 4 stroke and like you i find it abit "undergeared" the bike has 42 T at the rear.
anyone changed this? i'm thinking to go to 40T at the rear
the bike is very nice to ride, i like it a lot, best 4 stroke i've had
regards bob
-
hey,
strange bike color is not verry nice
looks like a verry heavy engine to close to the front wheel better left the bultaco like it was (just my idea) but if someony enjoyd bilding it and riding it why not
regards bob
-
hey,
idd a bultaco 350 is a verry nice bike but i would go for the b 40 in the videoclip sorry like 4 strokes
i have a 350 t and liked that bike a lot but a tlr (wat i have now) steers a lot better and is a bit lighter.
still any later twinshock is a good bike just ride wat you like most
regards bob
-
hey,
i 've seen one yesterday at the trial. it looks really great !!!
only 4000 euro! other 2 strokes from 5650 on
will be in belgium soon, first one is allready here and tested by very good rider and mecanic, he was verry happy with it .
regards bob
-
hey ,
had a trial yesterday and the bike went fine (just cold starting is a bit of a problem now, never had that before)
idle is ok bike starts good no more fuel dripping out bit of black smoke and sometimes a flame on the overrun (but that is normal for ths bike says the importer)
I had a go on a mate's 2008 sherco 4t and his bike is a lot smoother. Mine (2007) is more agressive and revs higher also neerly no difference between the 2 mappings on my bike, the 2008 has more difference between the maps, have to say my bike was the importers own bike and he is a top rider the bike is "addapted" for his riding style.
is there a difference in power and power delivery between 2007 and 2008?
regards bob
