  1. Hello, Is the clutch the same on the "reflex and a tlr 250? There is a nice clutch kit on the market in the USA for reflex that should be verry smooth and not overheating when hard used. I would like to fit it on my tlr 250 (stock clutch doesn't like my riding style ) anyone has experiance whit this kit? thanks regards bob
  2. hey, is it not on the website yet? i know the guys who organise the trial, and i have done it 3 times. There is camping infrastructure on the domain, douches, free camping and an cantine where you can get almost all what you want. If you have more questions just ask ... there are a lot of UK riders who done the trial a lot of times ask George Greenland, Toni Sullivan and many more (the same guys who come over for the aywaille clubman classic trial) regards bob
  3. It is not so that a 4 stroke has to be noisy, the honda tlr is the quitest bike out there i think (on the stock exhaust) and the beta rev 4 is quite silent too cota 4 rt 2007 onwards whit restrictors in it is not that noisy as it was 2005 - 2006 mod. but you are right less noise is beter for the survival of the sport. regards bob
  4. hello, 26 and 27 july there is the 24th pre 65 and twinshock trial in BILSTAIN (Belgium) 3 laps 10 sections sat and sunday (different sections) free camping last year this trial was not on the calender but this yeas its back so don't miss it more info WWW. rdmcbilstain.be greetings bob
  5. hey you shouldn't use the "wet setting" for road work only in the sections, after a section use dry setting again. Also burning thru muddy sections on full power you should use the dry setting the bike wil get verry hot when u use full power on the wet setting. regards bob
  6. hey, are you running the bike on the "wet " setting? They get verry hot then try the "sunny" setting to see if it gets so hot too regards bob
  7. hey changing to a slow action grip is a good mod, a 200 is verry smooth and grip is perfect you just have to learn to be gentle whit the throttle. if you open it fast the bike reacts quick (250 is a lot more agressive). i never had problems with my tlr 200 i used 1 gear mostly (9-44T) on the 250 i also use 1 and 2nd (9-39T) and had al the grip i needed so place a slow action throttle and practice a bit your problem will solve it self greetings bob

    Best Twinshock?

To me the best twin shock is the honda tlr 250, but i know many peoply don't like them. It is a personal thing after all, i can't ride a fantic or any other two stroke half as good as my tlr but i am used to ride 4 stroke and i understand that most who are used to 2 stroke find them easier than a honda. regards bob
  10. jep it was a German
  11. hey, I had a nice trial last weekend (aywaille cluban trial in belgium), the guy who won the inter class rode a "fantic 300" he used gasgas forks (+- 2004-2005) and his engine was something special to, the fins where a lot smaller then a normal 300 maybe from one of the monoshocks (301?) and tubeless rear wheel. Rules in Belgium are not that strickt aircooled engine twinshocks and drumbrakes so it was ok. The guy who rode it was verry good but i'm not sure if he would have won on an standard bike ... regards Bob
  12. hey, main reason why i want tubeless wheel is for the lower tyre pressure (0,25 bar) on an standard rim i always have to run on 0,35 bar and still the valve get ripped out of the tyre the problem is biggest whit the irc tyre (tubeless) in belgium it is common to use tubeless tyres on twinshocks in the harder classes. regards bob
  13. hey, does someone have the parts nr of the spokes and nippels for the rear wheel of an honda tlr 250, can they be used with an tubeless rim? regards bob
  14. i think they are from an xl 125 enduro or something like that mine has them to and stoppies are no problem regards bob
  15. hey found tlr 250 pistons http://www.trackandtrialmotorcycles.com/ regards bob
  16. hey are there still troubles whit the gearbox on the vivaro? i was under the impression that it only happend with the verry early cars regards bob
  17. you have a point there but i am 26 so an 174 bhp van is out of the question i cant get an insurance maximum is 90 kw
  18. hey whats wrong whit the nissan version? i thought they where all the same car but a different badge ? I would choose the vivaro-trafic -primastar van with a vw T5 in good second place regards bob
  19. hello, I use an old football instead of a pice of wood just deflate it a bit and it will fit between the forklegs and it does'nt move then pull the straps and the football acts as a shok absorber i use 2 straps at the front and one at the rear tyre and 2 more from the footrests to the trailer bike does'nt move and suspension is not completely compressed regards bob
  20. idd i forgot quite stupid of me i have an 2005 4rt
  21. hey, the book says ngk CR6EH-9 (standard) ngk CR5EH-9 (optional) i bought the bike in feb and it has the standard plug and worked fine until 2 weeks now sometimes it doesn't rev 100% cleanly still a verry nice bike but it went better during summer. what plugs do you use and anyone changes when it gets cold/hot? regards bob air filter is clean fuel is new i let it run on idle until fan kicks in run on 98 octane fuel (anyone experiance with octane booster/racefuel?)
  22. hey thanks for the confirmation, i will pass all the tips to my mate regards bob

    Silencer 4rt

On my 2005 4rt i have a special piece on the silencer (verry small you nearly can't see it) and it takes away a lot of noise. The bike has lost a little power but i don't feel any difference, but the difference in sound is enorm. A quiet 4 rt is possible, and it does'nt costs lots of money the piece is "home made". regards bob
  24. Hey, great movie, to bad i was only 1 year old when eddy got his first worldtitle, but ive seen him live a few years ago on that bike in an twinshock event really briliant the bike is the famous rtl 360 cc factory machine, only a few where bild and some still exists today. one is owned by a frenchmen and sometimes he compeets on it in bilstain (belgium) . regards bob
  25. Hey, as far as i know the engine as'nt been open yet, but i will check it the way you describe. The bike ran well in the beginning but now its not that good anymore, so i think mayby some component that's worn out? bike is now 2,5 years old and is used intensive. what should i look for first? piston, carb exhaust,... regards bob thanks for all the tips
