    315 Rear Linkage

Hey, anyone tried them on an 4rt? and are they the same? regards Bob
  2. But it used to run fine on the keihin, the bike has never been used with a dellorto carb. (it is a common mod here they even charge more for a new bike fitted whit a keihin, they do it on gas gas bikes also) It looks to me that it's a problem thats starts at a certain moment and gets worse by time, the bike is used a lot mayby even the piston that's used. Has someone already changed the exhaust on his bike for a new one? Does it make a big diference? regards bob
  3. i have no idea its not my bike (i drive 4 stroke machine) but i thought GRO 2 stroke oil
  4. Hey, a mate's sherco doesn't run verry nice any more (it used to do) it stil has a lot of power and revs high but on half trothle it sputters a bit, also when revving it it doenst sounds as sweet as it should. At full tilt it seems ok. The bike is fitted with an keihin carb done by the importer in the Netherlands. The bike is used weekly on an intermediate level, air filter is cleaned every time. fuel oil mix is ok, new sparkplug does'nt help. I wonder if it could be the exhaust (first part of the exhaust is cleaned regulary) or mayby the seals on the crankshaft. Any other sugestions? regards bob sorry for the spelling mistakes i am not used to write in English

    Brake Fix

hello, than you should check your brakes, my tlr 200 brakes like a new bike (front wheel stoppies are no problem) check if the drum isnt oval and check if you have an I shaped cam on the leaver (there are also D shaped cams and they dont work that well) i ve fitted new brake shous (thinkt it was ebc but i a'm not sure, on my bultaco i've newfren and they are very good). regards bob
  6. i ve just bought an complete engine and fitted into an tlr 200 using the tlr 200 carb and electrics, it runs on a stock exhaust so i should change the ignition coil (under the tank) and the cdi? i will check the clutch plates as i suspect they may by used out is there a place where i can buy order new plates (i dont have the partnumbers) and the manual of the rtl 250 1988? regards bob
  7. hello, ive recently put an 1988 rtl engine in my tlr 200 and now have trouble riding it the bike spins verry easy and the engine is not smooth (also the clutch slips are these the same plates as on a tlr 200/250? and is there a difference whit the cota 4 rt plates?) I've put the 200 engine back in and i plan to sort this out during the winter. Some ideas to make the engine smoother? (heavy flyweel, change timing, ... ?) all help is welcome regards bob

  10. hey , a friend has an sherco 2.9 (2005) and when his engine gets hot the clutchleaver fels like there is air in the hydrolics. clutchplates are new so it the piston in the clutch leaver, no leaking of hydrolic fluid, oil is changed whit the clutch plates +- 30 days ago when the engine is cold it works fine there is no clutch drag and it is not slipping eather just the leaver that becomes soft and no more point on whits you feel the clutch starts to work. any help is welcome greetings bob sorry for any spelling mistakes not used to write in English
  11. hey, you must check the ignition coil in the flywheel, I had the same problem whit my bultaco, previous owner used the wrong coil for ignition (ignition coil has 3 wires coming out of it) he used the light coil or the coil for the horn (only 2 wires ) regards bob ps sorry for any spelling mistakes not used to white in English
  12. Idd you have a point there, i will leave the bike as it is and train some more regards bob

  14. indeed that would be verry interesting to know steps larger than 1m are the target, mayby its my technique ( learnt it from someone who is used to a powerfull 2stroke) do you use same technique for steps on a 2 stroke as on a 4 stroke? regards bob

  17. hey i have to say that ths 4rt stock suspension is fine for me, but the jitsie parts could alter the suspension, i dont say they are beter but hey the guy who runs jitsie is belgian champion on a special 4rt (black one, verry nice bike whit a lot of jitsie parts on it ) so it works i suppose. regards bob

    Tlr200-250

    Tlr200-250

hey, i have an tlr 200 and i wonder if there is a big diference whit the tlr 250. I know that the 250 has bigger bore and stroke and that the gears are a bit shorter (any diference whit the rtl 250 engine?) but is there any diference in the frame or forks? and is the 250 really a better bike to drive? (i drive twinshock trials whit the 200, planning to do the expert route next year maybe on a 250 if they are better and i can find one) regards bob sorry for my English but i am not used to write in English

    Heavy Flywheel

hey tnx for the help people told me also i should go for the 250 or the 300 (but not the raga version) as the 280 is quite agressive i live in belgium so lots of mud, and lose surface (and rocks ans clims out of rivers and so in bilstain ( was the practice ground of Eddy Lejeune)) i am used to a honda tlr and a bultaco 350 so i want a bike that is controlebe on the trotlle and that has a lot of steam in low revs whitout being agressive greets bob
