hey, idd check your plug, if something in the ignition is wrong it would probaly not work at all i had one for 2 years it was very good a first kick starter best regards bob
  7. what jets do you use in the mikuni is it a VM 24mm? i have the same on my b40 and it responds a bit slow my bike has electronic ignition mayby my exhaust systhem is holding the engine back a bit ? best regards bob
  8. hey been riding honda's for years and if your brakes are not good something is not ok my tlr 250 brakes as good as a modern bike and the brakes dont fade when riding in mud the 200 has good brakes to but moastly the hub is used and got ovall put a new ring in the hub and fit oversized brake liners and make them fit perfect. when the brakes are in good state the should work really good you can fit a frontwheel of an tlm in the tlr best regards bob
  9. what do you call non stop riding? we have some riders here able to hop and pivot turn true the hardest twinshock-pre 65 sections without stopping is this ok? ist not so easy to see what is allowed and what is not but in the Scottish i don't see a need for hopping; sections are strait forward no short turns and more than one line is possible. best regards bob
  10. best to take a lot of pictures when dismanteling if you need to wait for parts you could forget something manual is very good (i guess only trials bike with a decent manual) work in a clean space and put your parts in little pots like they came of the bike good luck its not so hard best regards bob
  11. idd Nictou is a very good rider i have seen him ride in bilstain last year and he would beat most modern riders on his ariel so i guess top 10 should be possible best regards bob
  12. that will be a great battle a lot of good continental riders and most of the uk top riders on the list. best regards bob
  13. it feels really strange and the bike feels very unstable but you will gain a lot of balance try to keep the bike as straight as possible don't go hanging next to it to restore balance you should restore balance direct when you loose it by pushing on your footpegs i use to put a coin on my handlebarpad if it drops of you are not keeping the bike straight enough (when being stationary of coarse) for riding sections i use normal pressure or go a bit higher when the terrain is real grippy (in summer we dont have slippery terrain to ride so i try to make the bike less grippy also setting the shock a bit faster) for competitions or when i'm training other stuff than finding grip the bike is set up like it should. best regards bob
  14. hey i train on higher pressure when training for balance (front and rear tyre well inflated 20-30 psi) (stationary hopping and so) you get a better balance if you train on hard tyres feels really strange but it helps when riding sections i use normal pressures or experiment a bit with pressures. best regards bob
  15. hey you can ask info at snezzy's trials they used to sell them for the benelux best regards bob
  16. are you shure the fuel is not to old? the modern fuels go bad quite fast in a vented fueltank try some fresh fuel first best regards bob
  17. so i would enter on an exotic machine i would have a bigger chance? seems fair idd its not nice to see the same bike been ridden all the time if this makes the entry more divers thats OK by me, always nice to see something special or really old best regards bob
  18. is there a list with riders allready? anyone a guess who will win the event? best regards bob

    tlr 200 clutch

you need to adjust the free play on the cable when the clutch gets hot what you have is normal the honda clutches are really bad ones best is not to ride on the clutch all the time on a 200 thats not so hard if the sections are not very severe on a 250 its nearly impossible you will get used to it but there is not a lot to do to it (well there is but its not easy and a lot of work) kevlar plates help a bit but the problem is the clutch operating mechanism is not good enough for trials use dont use synthetic oils that are not suited for wet clutches. best regards bob
  21. my honda's (200 and 250) always start first kick i use a hand operated valve lifter like you would use on a pre 65 4 stroke the automatic cable thing is rubbish and when not using a valve lifter you break the kickstart or the shaft (they where made for a 125 bike) use good fuel proper sparkplug (ngk set the gap a bit smaller)and put the chock on when cold when the bike runs put the chock of best regards bob
  22. for me it has to be jordi tarres he changed the sport completely he was the first to use bicycle trickstuff on a motorbike lampkin and bou just perfected the techniks (2 great riders great respect for them to) best regards bob
  23. do you need to fill in forms in advance like for Scotland or can i just go there and enter like in bilstain? best regards bob
  24. im 30 next year in march so thats no problem, are the sections harder then what we ride here (yellow route) best regards bob
