hey,
fuel seems fine, the bike revs out well and sounds sweet, when riding a mile or 2 fast the engine stops like you would push the kill switch
after some seconds it runs perfect again.
i checked the fuellevel in the carb, fuel lines and the carb all seems fine
what sparkplugs are u using?
best regards bob
-
i didn't tought about that, i'll check it asap tnx for the tip
-
Hey,
my tlr cuts out when running fast between sections if the distance is more than 2 km. it cuts out and stalls and after 5 sec it starts again and runs fine
no problem when riding sections or when driving slowly.
could it be that my sparkplug gets to hot? should i use a diferent plug for long trials?

i was going to add the flywheel if i buy the raga would it work on a 250 to or is that to much (does it become lazy and tame)
are there things to look for when buying a gasgas? are there weak points that have to be checked?

Hey i'm looking to buy a new bike what would be the best choise?
i'm riding for 5 years now and ride just under the expert level (clubman expert)
current bike is a sherco 320 and i'm afraid the 250 will feel a bit soft it has a keihin and a S3 exhaust on but maybe the 280 raga is to much?
sections here are very tight and a lot of hopping is needed some steps and some climbs but moastly very presice riding needed.
any help is welcome, i'm not so used to 2 stroke power .

check the rear shock, i you find a bike with an upgraded shock its worth the extra cash
best regards
-
as far as i know they only have one for the beta but i will inform if they can make one for the sherco
best regards bob
-
i ask becoure jitsie sells a modified olle shock for beta at a fraction of the cost for a ohlins, so i wonder if i could fit this on my sherco
anyone knows the lenght of the rear shock? a sherco's is 26 cm
best regards bob
-
yes idd a very nice blog i look at it weekly, its a great help while building my B40 trials bike
it has a special one off frame i have no hopes entering the pre 65 scottisch on my bsa so i have a fantic front hub and a tubeless Yamaha rear wheel
-
Hello,
does anyone knows if the rear shock of the beta evo is the same one that is used on the sherco?
best regards bob
-
and the rear shocker of the beta?
i ve seen its an olle element like on the sherco so maybe same size?
are these any beter on the beta?
regards bob
-
how exactly did you do that?
are the plates like the surface of a golf ball then (well sort of)?
i know that works on a cota 4rt, so i guess it should work on a sherco to (are those the same plates otherwise maybe use the mitani plates for a 4 rt?)
anyone knows if the olle shock on the sherco and the one on a beta evo are the same ?
here in Belgium i can buy a improved evo rear shock for half the price a ohlins or trp shock

yes thats wat i ment sorry my English is not that good,
i felt 2 spacers give a difference but i could add some more (thats 1 spacer per bosses and this on 2 of the 6 bosses)
best regards bob
-
hey,
I've put spacers in front of the dish that pushes on the spring, i did it now on 2 springs but i will try wat it gives on 4 and 6 springs
what is the other idea you had i would be intressed to try it
best regards bob

regards bob
-
hey,
i just fixed my bike, i removed the decompressor and the spring and the bike starts fine and runs good no moke ticking noise in low revs
tnx for al the help on the forum
best regards bob
-
my bike runs and start without the circlips but i guess it would be very unwise to ride a trial like that?
regards bob
ps anyone ever tried to take the camshaft out of these bikes?
do i have to split the chain?
-
Hey,
does anyone knows how the decompressor works on the sherco?
mine lost a circlips and is toutching the side of the engine casing
mayby it is bent?
is it hard to chande this and is there something to look for when reinstalling the cam?
regards bob
-
hey,
be carefull its the Atc200X top end you could use not the ATC 200 !
there is a difference

-
hey,
i've been riding the 200 for 2 years and now 2 years on a 250, the 200 is the easier bike but the 250 has more grunt and better brakes and front forks. if you are a capable rider you can beat any twinshock on a tlr. moast people say a fantic is the better bike and that's probably true but i ride a lot better on the honda. Most 2 strokes i've ridden feel lasy and miss the agressiveness of the 250 honda in lower revs, this is what makes the 250 a bit harder to ride but i like it that way. I often compete in modern trials on my honda and that works fine.
my bike has a tubeless rear wheel and i've dropped the front yokes a bit ovet the fork (front of the bike is a bit to light) other than that its in stock condition
i guess you could make a 200 go really good (see classic trial website) for less money a 250 would cost you to buy.

hey,
jep i have been looking to do this mod to, i have not ridden a bike like this but i'm told by people who know that the 320 with heavy flywheel and 24 oko
is the bike to have if you like 4stroke power.
mine doesn't have the flywheel but i will do this mod in summer when i ride classic trials and don't need my bike weekly
