Thanks for all your replays the bike itself is very clean and does'nt seem to have had a hard life.The clutch might just need replacing,I will replace oil to see if that helps.Thanks.

Hi t-shock yes backed off the adjuster as there was no free play on the leaver.It was'nt slipping from cold just noticed it after second lap when riding between sections.It was my first outing on the bike let alone a beta so it took a while to get used to.Always rode gassers so I was quite impressed.

Hi first outing on the Evo this weekend,all good apart from the clutch slipping in 5th & 6th gear.This might be down to a few factors,it might need new plates or it may have the wrong oil or to much in it,Motul 300V 10/40 to the top of spy glass.All other gears OK no drag from cold,apart from that well impressed.Cheers.

Hi to everyone iv'e finally took the plunge and bought a 2009 evo 290.I know the issues regarding this year but the bike does'nt look like its had a hard life. I have a few questions regarding wheel bearings,what size do they take and what gearbox oil and how much does it take.Also do you oil the air filter,I have always had gassers but liked the look of the ego so thought I'd take the plunge.Cheers. ,

Thanks for the reply's,I have always had gassers, as the early beta's never appealed to me but the evo seems to be a well built machine. was there a problem with the frames cracking on this model.How much of a beast is the 290 is it the equivalent to the 280 gasser.Thanks.

I think that every rider who rides should take their turn at observing,the observers up here in the north east are really good at offering their services.But when the weather is bad you can understand why a lot of people don't want to do it,so come on guys do the right thing and take your turn at picking up a board and helping the sport because when the regulars decide not to come any more that's when the sport will suffer.

Hi i have the chance of an alloy kickstart off a Yz /Wr 250 1995 model does anybody know if this will fit my Ty mono please,the guy says it looks like it has 32 splines for the fitment onto shaft.Ay help would be helpfull. Thanks.

Hi All, After going to a wet and coldtrial today the bike let me down after first lap,i have a 300 raga o5 it started to overheat chucking water out of overflow pipe.my question is do these have some kind of relay on them as i can see a black box on the fan housing,its got 2 yellow wires a red wire & a black wire also there is another box tucked right up next to head stock with a yellow wire & black wire comming from it.Where is thermostat located as I can't see it on rad or in pipes. I have checked the fan when I got home that works, I should have joined the fan wires so it ran constant but could not remember how they went plus I was soaked and freezing so just went home. Thanks.

Hi Welshcharlie Was the bike running ok when you bought it or has it just started since you stripped the carb.Theres a couple of manuals on ebay worth getting if your not sure what your doing.l run mineon 10/30 gear oil try running bike with seat unit off as some early bikes suffered with air box troubles.

Thanks for the reply guys I new about mxm but I was told they still bubble and peel.This is down to the grade of fuel these days been better.Years ago when I last bought these stickers you got a foil backing to stop the vapors seeping through but you cant buy that any more apparantley.I will contact mxm tomorrow and ask some questions.Thanks

Hi everyone I was wondering weather anyone knows if you can still buy the vinyl tank covers for the ty mono.I was just going to put new stickers on but everyone says they will just bubble and peel as the vapors see through the plastic tanks.Thanks

Hello totty Do you go riding by yourself if so you wont be learning much,have you been to one of your local trials yet to see other people in action.you will probabbley learn quite alot and all the guys and girls will be happy to point you in the right direction as to what you want to learn.

Hello Why not come along to a trial to see what goes on.Its ok going to a practice area but its not the same as doing a trial you will probabbly learn more and get more tips and advice on how to ride.Theres a trial on at hope farm Longframlington tomorrow.Hope to see you there.

Hi I have recently bought some wulfsport trousers size xxl, I am a 40-42 waist and these are a loose fit and great quality for the money.Try ghost bikes that's where I got mine. Hope this helps.

Hi alan, weardale has a trial on sunday at rogerley quarrie near frosterly,its a great venue with loads of space to ride if you want to take your bike and have a bit of practice.Or just go to the seaton delavel trial on monday which is also a good venue,like everyone has said you only learn when you do one,we all had to start some where.like wobblenorbed said if you want some one to talk to or advice PM me and al see you there.
