Hi everybody, i've been keeping a check on my oil because my bike has been realy smokey.the last twice i've checked it (using the bolt under the kickstart) i've had to top it up.My question is how hard is it to split the casing,& is the water pump tricky to line up and will i have to split the engine to change the seal or will i be able to just pop it out & fit the new one. CHEERS.

Hello every body, i'me just wondering what 2 stroke oil to run in my scorpa sy & what mix. I'me using motoul fully synthetic at the minute at between 60ml & 75ml to 5 liters & it smokes like a train. I have just cleaned out the middle & re-packed the back box, not losing any engine oil so ruled that theary out. What oils do you lot use & which one is the best for my 2001 sy.CHEERS. P.S. some guy at the trial said the motoul fully synthetic might not be suited to my engine.

Hello everybody, went to my local trial today all geared up for a good day & the bike let me down. Got the bike out of the van started second kick as usual, knocked her off to put my gear on,went back to start her but she took some starting so put the choke on & again second kick fired up knocked the choke straight off & rode about ten yards, & then she would not rev up properly & started to backfire. took plug out checked for spark, yes had a spark which i thought was weak but my mate said it was ok.Took carb off cleaned it out no water or dirt in there put it all back together & still the same running like a bag of sh-te & backfiring.Bought new plug & changed the petrol to noavail,i think its electrical probs but have not got another bike to use as a doner to elimanate differant parts.HELP PLEASE. Thank you.

Hello mate, like the rest of the members have said the early GG pros had gearbox issues,& the bones on the rear suspension can work out pretty costly as i learned.I myself changed to a scorpa sy & love it but hey each to their own. your best bet is to go along to a trial & ask some of the guys about their bikes & how they differ from others & if your lucky you might get a test ride. Hope this helps.

Hello everybody, the topic today for all you to solve is my mates clutch on a GG300pro. it's quite heavy & he says it makes his hand ache after a few laps so he has to use all his fingers to pull the ckutch in.i've got to admit its alot hevior than my scorpa clutch. He's tried bleeding it but it is still the same, any ideas folks. thanks alot.

Hi dazza 70, i had the same problem on my 320 last year. I took the adjuster from the back brake to the master cylinder (the small threaded bolt that fits into the m-c ) & put a pozee screw driver inside the master cylinder which gives u a better push at it,the brake bled straight away with no problems,or try back bleeding from the calliper. also check your pads. hope this helps.

As to your first question i'me not sure that is why i was goin to buy a new master cylinder, but when i went down to the shop the one he said would fit was completly different,& he did not have the origonal one so i just bought a new seal kit. the answer to your other question is no once the bike has cooled off the brake is still poor with no pressure, cant bleed it with the peddle have got to use syringe to get good brake pressure. i'm goin to strip the calliper this week & put new brass washers on the banjos to see if this works & if not well i'll order a new m-cylinder from Birketts. Thanks for your assistance Scorpa 3.

Hello guys & girls just to update you's on Scorpa rear brake problem, took the master cylinder brake line & calliper down to my local trials shop on saturday to get new master cylinder. they told me sherco was the same but when i got there totally different, glad i took my old one down or would have gettin the wrong one (would not have been happy coz was assured it would have fitted over the phone) any way bought a seal kit put it in fitted back to bike, swine to bleed got good brake had good trial today(apart from circlip on slave cylinder snapping on the clutch did some running repairs bled the system & back to finnish the trial) last lap lap then brake started to fade again, not much pressure on peddal but if you stand on it hard it try's to work i'me goin to take every thingapart & clean this week & try that CHEERS. P.S I know the problem is stairing me straight in the face but it has got me & my mate beat.

Thanks everybody for letting me pick your brains(coz mine are scrambled)i'll try all your suggestions & get back to you all with the outcome. And once again thanks very much. CHEERS.

You didn't say if the fluid level is going down? I assume that this is the case, so the above idea will help you locate the leak.
no the bike is not loosing any fluid,i susspect the master cylinder is at fault but want to rule all other possiblities out first before i take the plunge & buy a new one.CHEERS & thanks for your quick response. keep up the good work T.C.
