  1. Speak with Central Wheels https://central-wheel.co.uk/ Great Bikes and such a good learning machine for young ones. Kev
  2. Hi im recommissioning a1980 Beamish. The techomoto throttle has quite some wear and I would like to replace. Are the new Domino throttles a decent replacement? thanks Kev
  3. Not used SS rims on a trials bike just older Road Bikes that I have restored.
  4. I’m rebuilding a Beamish Suzuki and going Alloy rims with SS spokes, I’m going to trial it, I’ve done older stuff for show and have used Stainless Rims which are nice and shiny and don’t tend to rust like the chrome option.
  5. We have both a 2022 300 Factory and a 2002 250 Rev 3. Both great fun, easy to work on and reliable. The l/h kick is something to get used to but you soon get the knack. parts for both are easy to source. go for it
  6. Hi anyone here using a Beta Rev 3 on a regular basis? They seem to be really good value currently.. what is the spares availability like? thanks in advance Kevin
  7. Brand loyalty is a huge factor I’d say, I ride Trails on my KTM but could easily do the same on a Yamaha etc, KTM seemed to be readily available with good spares backup (and they do break!) I don’t ride trials but am on the hunt for a bike to play on and improve my trail riding, the Betas seem to be the most available but perhaps that’s because people buy them and then realise they need something else? good thread.
  8. Evening. I'm Kevin and new to the forum. Quite long in the tooth now but enjoy getting out on my KTM on the local lanes around Llangollen. Having always fancied a trails bike, especially in my youth when funds were too tight, its now or never. Heart is saying a TY175 or Fantic ( could never afford one when they were new), head says something modern for the reliability?. There is a pay per day wooded area near me so that would be a good place to start and hopefully try some easy events - twin shock event for newbies could scratch an itch and improve my laning skills to boot? Whatever I buy, I'm hoping to buy from a fellow enthusiast and not from bay of e etc. Look forward to your advice. Kev
