  1. The Honda is no longer available so I'll be buying the Yamaha. I like the fact that it is blue & white, not the more common(?) yellow & white, like the earlier models.
  2. Condition and price being pretty much the same, which is the better choice, a TY250 or a TL250? I guess the choice of two cycle or four cycle is the main thing? I lean a little towards four strokes.
  3. On a frame-up restoration, anybody have the frame and swingarm powder coated? Tough finish but difficult to touch up scratches later?

  5. This might not be the correct forum but... When I try to look thru all the posts on here I can look at 4 or 5 pages then I am taken to the last page. That leaves 100+ pages that I am unable to see? What am I doing wrong?

    The Ty250 I found included an extra engine. It looks like the one still on the frame except the head has radial fins. I suppose it's a 250 from another Yamaha 250? It looks like what I see listed on eBay as a DT250 or YZ250.

    I have wanted a Japanese trials bike for a long time. I've located a 1976 TY250. It might be the one to restore. It's biggest issue is someone has swapped on a larger seat. I'll be looking for the correct seat.
