  1. Hi, This is Mike Rapley, the trial secretary. Unfortunately, my laptop has expired and I simply can't get it to work. I'm using my daughter's machine to write this. However, team totals are: Northern Centre 42, South Midland 45, Alton Aces 55, Huddersfield Falcons 72, Congleton 78, Bassenthwaite Twinshock 91, Eastern Centre 92, Dabbers 92, Lakes MTA 95, Westmorland B 96, Mid Wales 98, Westmorland A 101, Whitendale Montesa 111, Guisborough 113, Midland Centre 122, South West Centre 127, Lakes GTA GS Motorcycles 157, Weardale Wobblers 176, Peveril 223, Lakes GTA Storth Engineering 234. Once I'm back up on line, I'll post the full results, meanwhile they are in the post to those who sent envelopes in the morning. Thanks
  2. My section had a maximum of 10 people queueing at any one time, and mainly when they were walking the section or came in a group riding together which i dont feel counts! As far as I am aware there was no queueing anywhere, I certainly heard no complaints about it. We split the entry to start half at section 1 and half at section 11 and this seemed to be a success and helped the trial run much more smoothly. We even had some sunshine at one point! I'm fairly sure noone was turned away who wanted to ride, definatly not a rider from a genuine class, though I'm sure Dad will confirm this later! Hopefully everyone enjoyed the day!
  3. I really enjoyed the Manx again. Didn't see even one section as was busy helping to fuel lots of riders but it is enjoyable anyway - especially the weather!! I still get to know what is happening and seeing the riders come in to fuel still smiling - even on day two - must mean it is good!
  4. I obviously just had a similar occurance. Perhaps its not just a one off thing...!
  5. I agree with bikespace. I think you may be referring to my section last week and I allowed a rider to remove this rock. I agreed to the move because as mentioned it hadn't been there before, and it was not a rider riding this course that altered the section. If another yellow route rider had done something to shift this rock I would probably have left it as as someone else mentioned, that is the point of trials - sections change - be it harder or easier. However this was an easy trial and therefore we are trying to encourage riders that they can do a full trial, riding all the sections, and the point were this rock landed was only going to put these riders off and not encourage them. To be honest, the next rider would probaly have moved it out of the way again anyway . However, don't just move something - always ask the official first or you might not like the result!
  6. Like the post! Not sure if every trail would ever be observed the same as some of us do it every week, some do just the trials in their local club, others do the odd trial every other year or so when we desperate and really need an observer etc! And many of us observe as we see fit - some strictly, some allowing a long struggle as a 3 for example. But maybe the simple things that can easily be regulated, like the flag colours, should be. It would make it so much easier for every one especially those new to the event. It may stop the odd quisical look at me, the wander round the section and then after about 5 minutes the "where do I go??"
  7. Be no good doing that with me as I wouldn't have a clue! I would let someone snap off a twig that was likely to injure someone as I wouldn't want to give first aid and I reckon you all get enough scratches and scrapes as it is!! You're not supposed to move rocks etc as that alters the course and you are supposed to show me how well you can ride it! And it makes it unfair for all the previous riders, especially if it was a big rock (or two).
