I'am 99% sure your problem is water in the carb, its a b*****d if you strip the carb again, look in the front (engine side) you will see a tiny hole that leads to the emulsion tube, this is blocked the only way to clear it is with an air line ! Aerosols ect.. won't touch it !!! This happend on my lads beta and his lem mx bike (same carb) i did all the things you did cleaned the carb over and over. In the end i toke the carb to work and shoved the air line in every orifice and out popped some water !!!!!! In the future if it happens when your out riding try putting the choke on and drive it along, this sometimes drags it out but not very often hope this helps !
  3. Its true all around the bvm test day today and its on the r2w web site heard he will be riding a special 300cc stroker anyway it will all come out in the wash
  4. try west country windings they put extra windings on works perfect fixed for good they also turned the job round the day they recieved it geat service if only betas suppliers did this in the first place the shellac coating was thicker as well least i think thats what they called it !

Hi can anyone help i have a 2007 beta rev3 250 it has popped on small throttle openings sounds like a machine gun ! runs perfect love it to bits but people keep telling me its noisy its done a few hours now and has'nt settled down i have changed the pilot jet to a 27.5 re-set the float height and changed the plug to a 5 none of this made a differance i was told to try moving the ignition a couple of degrees this made no differance just pinked on idle still popped fuel mix is 75:1 only thing i havent checked is the silencer packing but i think its fuel burning in the header pipe doing it hope one of you guys can shed some light on this just to stop everyone moaning about the noise !!

Hi could be a lot of things it we could be a weak spark, stator or coil going down when hot, could get the stator rewound at west country windings plymouth first, then change the coil or borrow a set to try. you could also try an ev type plug (fine tip) to concentrate the spark or on the other hand it could be fueling i ran mine at 80:1 but i dont think thats your problem could try down jetting but its more likley the needle and or the emulsion tube could be warn and the fuel droplet size is wrong or theres to much fuel, or it could also be a blocked air filter or maybe the rings my bet would be the stator breaking down with heat west country will put more windings on for you

  8. Hi had a Beta 200 99 techno with a similar problem although it would start and run occasionally it was the standard fitment kill switch earthing on the bars i changed for a mx type it then ran fine but was sometimes had to start so had the stator rewound West Country Windings
  9. Hi just got a 07 rev3 was thinking of changing the gearing i was thinking of 1 up on the back has anyone got any advice ?
