I’ve got electrex world on my Ariel HT5. I had the same problem with coughing and spluttering at high revs and thought it was running too lean but despite increasing jet sizes it didn’t cure the problem. I very sceptically opened the plug gap right up to 1.5mm as suggested by others in this thread and amazingly it cured the problem!
