We have the software to program our Cannondales, we can change EVERYTHING, I don't get that crazy, but it's possible.
the performance parameters you can change is amazing, traction map, torque, top end, low end. pretty much endless.
Wish the Ossa was similar.

I got a 2012, ALWAYS starts 2-3 kick cold 1-2 hot, only problem I've had was the wires to the rear tail light were laid on the exhaust,and shorted out.
Fixed that , I don't see how a bike could be better, I had GG before. No problems with them to speak of either, I like the Ossa better.

I have an 03 280 that does the exact same.
The ONLY way to get it to start, take the plug out, light spray of ether or carb cleaner, starts first kick.
I can IMMEDIATELY shut it off , it will restart first kick, and start first kick all day and everyday , let it sit for a week or more . . .
Same process.
Carb has been off, checked by me, and 2 others, changed jets, SAME deal.

Cars are SLICK , especially with a little dew, cover the glass with some thick plywood, it breaks easily.
upside down boats are fun and SLICK as well,.
I've found cable spools don't hold up very well,
Pallets are cheap, light, easy to get , and build with, they only last a couple years out in the weather here.

I'm happy with my Alpine's , I have the Sidi's in a MX boot , NO complaints there either.

MOST CERTIANLY , I'd say the guys girls having a hard time starting them ,need to learn how to kick over a bike.
I let EVERYBODY who wants, ride mine , so far ONLY ONE said he preferred his bike.

Mine has ALWAYS been better than that , with NO battery.
Well , can't do better than one hot , which mine almost always does.

I've only ever replaced wheel bearings in 1 bike , that was my 08 GG . replaced in 2010 , which I thought VERY premature , Have an 03 & 04 pretty sure still original bearings.

Easy there "trials" snobs , he's doing what he can, with what he has.
It will help some , how ever many times what you need is tire speed (ability to move large amounts of real estate "dirt" ) a trials bike will be hard pressed to do so.
there is some terrain that favors one type of bike or the other .

I had a buddy that raced , and won several national titles with a PWC , NO JOKE he used a McDonalds cup , he would dump in some gas , dump out his drink put some oil in the cup, dump in the tank(never could figure why he even used the cup ?).
This was a $1X,XXX.00 engine , did this for about 3-4 years as I recall.
STUPID , yes ! but he never had an engine problem.

I ride mine , 280i ,on trails alot , just wondering what gear ratios you are wanting changed , occasionally , OCCASIONALLY , it would be nice to have a closer 4-5.

Mine did that twice , just overheated , never could find a problem. checked all the connections , good . hasn't done it for a while now .

Guess I must have a "special" bike , as mine has ALWAYS started(after 3rd tank of fuel) in a few kicks when cold , don't every remember more than 4-5 usually 2 , 1 or 2 hot

Deon , I started small , 5'6" & 139# when senior in HS , now 30 years later 5'11" & 185# . I used to start my brothers early 70's Yamaha 360 when I was about 80# wet , that thing would send you over the bars if it kicked back .

NO offence intended , but that's pretty much how I've started EVERY bike for the last 40+ years.
I don't think it's ever taken 10 kicks to start mine ,90% of the time it starts 3-4 cold , 1-2 hot . As long as I keep off the throttle.

I use the ones that come with a printer ink cartridge refill kit.
