All sorted now The only thing i can think of is i didn't actually replicate the fault on the second bike i was checking the wrong things (i was full of a cold so thats my excuse). Anyway note for anyone else, try to buy the Leonelli Epure kill switch rather than the EM branded one as its £35 cheaper. I totally missed that splatshop had it in stock and ended up getting the EM one from inch perfect (even though they are the same thing). That would be my only gripe about EM is finding parts or at least information on parts you can use, if it wasnt for Konrads site and here i'd have been totally screwed

Konrad i cant thank you enough mate. I just connected the kill switch from bike 2 to bike 1 and its worked! The LED map light still doesnt come on when you power the bike on (i cant remember if it did before or not) but once you attach the magnet it does so i'm happy with that, new kill switch over controller saves my pocket. Thanks again for the help and also all the info on your website mate

Just checked and all fuses are fine - Absolutely stumped Everything in blue is working but nothing past that so could a faulty map switch, LED or throttle cause the controller to not get power?
-
Haha yeah i'm not touching anything until tomorrow now with fresh eyes and head. No, i havent, My logic is saying it has to be something like that or something tripped by a bad signal? due to the fault being replicated on 2 bikes. I noticed on the parts diagram theres a 2A fuse also so i'll check that too

Hi mate, The light doesnt go white, there isnt any power at all to the Map light or switch from what i can see since i returned home. My sons bike worked fine until i tried connecting his map switch/light/throttle to the ports on mine (one by one) Also no light on the controller, i found the led its opposite the Silixcon sticker but nothing when powered on, still getting power to the kill switch/battery indicator but i saw from your wiring diagram they dont go through the controller. Going off the day i'm having it wouldn't surprise me if I've somehow fried both bikes (managed to lock the keys in my van twice today after never doing it in 30 years)

Me again! Ok todays problem is as follows: Went out riding and after about an hour the bike (Epure race 2021) kept dropping the map intermittently and returning to the clear light. No rhyme or reason to it, sometimes up hill sometimes down. Messed about abit and i could replicate it when the handlebars went full lock either way so faulty wire i thought, easy fix, trace the wire and sort it. Got home, washed the bike, removed the fairing but now no power at all going to the map light (still power to the kill switch). My son has the same bike so i thought i'll try plugging in his map switch/map light but still nothing. Then i tried it with the throttle and now 2 bikes wont work!?!?!? So i guess my question is does anyone know a good scrap man lol no really, could it be a short in the throttle/Map switch/Led doing this and could it kill the controller? I'd much rather be able to sort this myself before going to the experts but i'm at a loss with it happening now on the second bike. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!!!

Alan, you are a legend mate, thanks for all the info, explains a lot. Half the battle is knowing what the parts are on the EM as the parts list just gives codes that dont come up with anything when you search them. Have just found the Jitsie spacers so i'll grab some and give them a try first.

Cheers mate, i did wonder. So nothing to worry about then?

Should the front disc have play in it or be solid? I could hear a noise from the front wheel area and found the disc has play in it, the bolts are tight but it looks like some kind of washer has degraded maybe allowing side to side play on the disc. I'm thinking it shouldnt move but always best to check lol and were can i get replacement washers form if it these that are the issue. I have two 2021 bikes and its the same on both

Awesome cheers mate that other video was informative enough so i'll check this one out

Nice one thanks guys From what i read i'm on the upper limit of the stock spring as they are rated 70 - 85kgs so i'll have a look at swapping that out rather than stopping eating biscuits.

Being new to trials bikes and coming from mountain bike background, how is best to set up the rear shock for my weight? At the minute it feels quite wallowy, should it have more rebound and is it a case of adjusting or buying a new spring for my weight (will any make of spring do or are they manufacturer dependent?) Cheers

Chee mate i will do. Spotted on a spanish site(https://trialworld.es/tienda-trial/en/brakes-and-hidraulic-system/2217-electric-motion-rear-brake-pedal.html) that the EM pedal fits these Gas Gas Pro/Racing/Raga/Factory 99-18, Jotagas 12-18, Ossa 11-16, TRS One 16-18, Vertigo Combat 16-18 so should work in reverse? I asked the guys at TrialsUK but they said the same about the Sherco so have ordered me in an Apico one. I'll let you know how it goes once i get it

Might be a daft question but are they universal or specific as i see some with the bike type referenced but others not? Which will fit an Epure race 2021? Cheers

Cheers mate, he loved it on our experience day so he'll be buzzing. If i cant solve this issue i'll book the bike in there and go for a ride while they fix it
