Thier are 2 TLR 200 tanks for sale on ebay at the moment, 1 in excellent condition the other 1 has a couple of dents but still usable
just type in trials in the automotive section and scroll through the pages, the auction for the tanks still has a couple of days to go

well I'm a leftie and have no problem with operating the throttle with my right hand its the only way I've tried, as for turning in a section I prefer to turn right up banks and hills than turning left, maybe has something to do with the throttle being in towards the centre of the bike but turn left my right arm is stretched out further, does this makes sense
-
got mine the same as t-shock 250, tank to TOP of tap out the bottom of tap into filter then onto carb, no kinking probs, pipe came from my local trials centre, just black petrol pipe NOT re-enforced.
As for my tlr 200 fitted with an after market ali tank with fibreglass cover similar to the Golner, I went straight from tank to tap to carb, with no probs
any help??

to g4321
with reference to my earlier post, if you phone Stevens Trials Centre on
0208 3014111, ask for Dave he has a JCM push fit cap in stock which measures 41mm dia just the size you want, has a grove machined in it for an "O" ring and a spigot on top for the vent pipe,
this will save you lots of messing about going down the go cart route!!!!!
-
for g4321,
no work was needed on the engine as it was all done by a previous owner, runs nice and sweet, we only spray painted it with pj1 satin engine case paint, as for the petrol pipe routing yes you are right
tank to top of tap, bottom of tap to fuel filter then onto carb.

my mate who has the other 50% got the tyres dirty before I got round his house for the photo shoot, well that's my excuse
-
I think jcm had a push type cap, if you phone Stevens trials centre here in the south they may be able to help you out as they did have this type of cap in stock but I'm not sure of the diameter, ask for Dave
-

message to honda rs
miller footrests ideal for keeping my feet OFF the ground after all I did win the Geoff Monk trial this year
-
message to woody,
the rearshocks are betor gas\oil units with 50 pound springs, I bought them new on ebay, they damp either way up\down I prefer them this way also it makes the stickers read the right way up
-
I agree with the others had 1 the same done recently, a mate tig welded it for me but he said the aluminium was poor grade, he placed a piece of copper under the fault then filled it up then sanded it to suit after painting it looked brand new, take it to your local engineering company that does this type of welding or look some up in the yellow pages and ring a few up.
good luck
-
the majesty or the tlr would be just fine as I have both (see honda posting tlr 200 tasty refurb) 1 thing I would recommend is to change the chain and sprockets to 9 front and 51 back fitted with a 428 chain, this makes a big difference, I can use 1-2-3 gears no problem and I weigh 13 stone
will you be riding the red\ novice route?
next year I plan to ride the inta\blue route on either bike and to do many classic rounds next year
see you all thier Booma (Andy Wilson)
here is a pic of my Yam I luv it
-
Hi peter, if you want to contact the 96 trials club then ring (daytime)Stevens trials centre on 0208 3014111 ask for Dave
-
you know the old wives saying " all good things come to those that wait "
I saw one in Stevens trials centre here in the south east sounded and looked the dogs bo****ks, but I'm still going to stick with my tlr
-
this message is for r2wtrials, in your last post you was requesting a TLR200 tank well I have 2, one is a bit dented and painted white the other 1 is original colours and in 8.5/10 condition no rust in either of them,
any help??
emails to andy.wilson13@virgin.net
can also supply seat\tank units for
-
your right the wheels had the dreaded rot so I had them rebuilt by a friend here in the southeast with Exel rims and large dia stainless steel spokes and nipples, lovely quality and very strong, not cheap but worth it.
As I put in my last post the bike was up for sale, well a friend of a friend has just been round and bought it
nice fat wallet again
so now I can start all over again with the next tlr 200 sitting in the back of my workshop
I think I'm going slightly mad
