ill defo let you know how i get on, im looking foward to it! not nervous at all which i suppose is a good thing,
im confident af going over anything around a foot high, it any higher ill give it a damn good go!

Ive been riding a trials bike for about a month now, and i have dropped myself in at the deep end and entered myself into a novice trial at the end of this month,
so still got time to practise, with it being a novice trial what sort of obsticle would i expect in it?

2 weeks ago i was in the same situation as you, i could ride the bike but would struggle/loose bottle at gtting up and over a tree stump 6" high!
after getting the Ryan Young DVD he shows you alot of things to make life so much easier, also goes thru the basics like balancing, now im going up fallen trees which are 1ft high and feeling much more confident also going up hill climbs, knowing exactly were my body position should be.
Im even thinking about entering a novice trial in the next month or so,

i took the plug out and cleaned it, it was covered in black deposit, it seems to be starting better now, dont think it was to do with me cleaning it, more to do with having a 'knack' to starting it, since its been starting 2nd/3rd kick with choke on from cold and off when hot,
one other thing ive notices is the side vents for the air filter are blocked up with tape to stop water getting on the filter, will this reduce air flow at all?

well i managed to blag a connect for the weekend, and i am very impressed with it, can get 1 bike in there nicely with plenty of room to get changed, and keep all gear there too,
just going to try and get it now inplace of my current company van,
fingers crossed!

its more than .8 of a mm out tho, i measured it with a tap and the hitch is about 47mm?
very weird, think ill buy a new hitch and try that, to be sure,

the hitch isnt locking on my new towball, is it possible that the hitch is smaller than 50mm, i thought they were all standard size?

05' 280 which has kickstart problems, now im new to the trials world so have to go easy on me, when its been left standing it will start 1st/2nd time without use of choke, but once warm its an absolute bugger to get going again, with or without the choke,
any ideas where to start?

ok, no problem, thinking about it part of the company i work for has a van contract hire side, so may go have a nose and a root thru some of the smaller vans,

dont suppose you have a photo of how the bike is in the bk of the van with doors open, as i cant (yet) imagine how it looks...

i must say either the caddy or transit connect, as im looking for something that i can use every day as well, all im worried about is i currently have a fiesta van and it goes thru rear shockers like no tomorrow just with having a toolbox in the back, just wondering weather a small van lik the caddy would do the same with carrying a trials bike,

im looking into getting a van for the bike, as apose to using a trailer at the moment,
the transporter is looking good at the moment but was just wondering weather anyone knows if a trials bike fits in a berlingo/partner or the vw caddy van?
