hi all when i changed my plug earlier it was black with soot. im assuming that the bike is running rich but i have no idea how to sort it. sorry for being such a pain max

did it free off or not? if so its just the regular montesa clutch drag the only way to combat it is to change the gear oil to elf or get a new clutch max

unbolt the brake hose and let all the fluid out. clamp 1 piston with grips and push the other in. it will be hard but keep trying. bleed it up and go riding. dont ask me the science behind this but it worked for me. max

it is a 99 and no it has been running fne until about 2 months ago. i will take the carb off and give it a good clean later cheers max

i am running a wez straight through pipe at the moment and i havent alterd the jetting. the bike is ok at high revs but at low revs it is a bit crappy

hi replaced the plug on my 315r at the weekend and noticed it was coverd in black soot. the bike is also drinking petrol and and genraly not running well. could this be a problem with the carb settings? max

hi popeye i had the same problem when did you last replace the barings? when i first got my bike it had a lot of play in the linkage and found there to be vertualy NO bearings! compleatly disintergrated haha

how tall are you? looking at the vid it looks like your tall how about some higher bars?

yes there was no air in the system. i used the small bolt on the cylnder head to make sure. i started it up last night and it seamed to be fine but then started to drip slightly out of the tube agen. this is realy confuzing me!

hi all did a local trial on sunday and for no reason my bike just blew all its water out of the raidiator overflow pipe. it was running well and then all hel broke lose and went up in a cloud of steam. i have had this problem before when the fan stoped working but this time the new fan is quite happy buzzing away doing its job. i have no idea on how to sort this out apart from set fire to the bloomin thing any help aprecated! max

my first ride on old ty was certinly memrable! got it out of the van, started it up, rode it for a minute, poped a wheelie and fliped it! haha it happens to everyone!

have you got the filler cap on right? i know its a stupid thing to say but yes i have done it many times before. or have you checked the rubber gasket in the filler cap?

we put between 450-500ml in my dads 98. there all the same

my 315 is a 99 and i would doubt it has ever had its head or barrel off in its life. not bad going for a two stroke. unless it is noisy i wouldnt bother

has it been through any deep water? or is it being run at the correct fuel mixture? max
