Does anyone know where to get regs for the lakes twinshock trial in july, also is it true they may throw in a aircooled mono class?
-
palmsavers or risk racing can get them of ebay
-
cheers phil for the reply, i think birks had the casings slit when he did main bearings hopefully it will be a bearing on clutch basket will try this first.
-
Just got a pinky yam its had new piston ,rings, main bearings and seals. It has also just had new clutch plates and a new talon basket bolted on. It make a funny grumbling noise when put in gear especially on clutch bite also still makes it when clutch fully out and riding around. the noise is faint when in nuetral and clutch lever is operated in and out but dissapears when just sat in neutral with lever left alone, could the bearing in the basket or cog on the back cause this or something more major any ideas appreciated before i rip her to bits

Had same thing happened on my 08 rev 4 when i had it. plug looked like it was sparking but it was all over the place. It had gone pop with revving it. Try a new plug in first thats all that was wrong with mine.
-
Bloody hell mick didnt know regs were out ,oh well first time in 24 yrs ive missed it not to worry.
-
Rode this trial for the last 2 years lost single figure marks both years and thats riding the hard course on a twinshock. The hard course will be like any easy course standard in the northern centre plus a great ride round land you will never ride on at any other time. Excellent trial.
-
mine developed a back fire like you discribed gradually got worse so it was banging and frapping on tick over. went to clean carb out and found the inlet manifold rubber ( from carb to barrell)had split could not see split when carb was on just fell apart when air box was pulled back. only a tenner from Birketts nice cheap fix and made it run as sweet as a nut again.

Yeh said we would. Fantastic weekend though well done ccmcc. Thats it now the honda is stripped down and been shipped off to various places.
-
i have rode the cumberland two day for the last 6 or 7 yrs now it is easier on both routes than the nostalgia (ridden 3 times)was this year, more staight forward sections. last year was spoiled by the heavy rain but it still was an excellent event. sat route about same length as nostalgia route but sunday is probably half as long again, both days are more laps.all in all an excellent trial and social weekend definetly one for your diary.

-
Just returned from the Angela Redford trial, what a superb event well done all the Lancs county crew well deservered the entry they got.
Many thanks to all the observers standing out in what must of been a freezing wind much apprieciated.
-
T- Shock 250 i told you to bring the TLR better get your dad spannering to get it ready for cumberland two day. Got the nod from irv by being 11 yrs older. This grey receeding hair works wonders on a tie break.
Excellent event well organised as usual and agree sundays racing was great.
-
Oh no gutted t- shock that there is no hill climb. Taking Honda this year looking forward to the climb. What you riding the SWM or the proper bike?
-
Thanks for all the positive feedback about the bootle round, woody you want more becks! but we are bored of them! seriously all comment are taken on board.
Scott T if you are refering to Fell Green being a great venue then yes it is being wrecked by MX and enduro bikes but also by ILLEGAL practicing by trials bikes to and if this carries on much longer the venue will be lost as locals are getting very upset and once the get the lake district planning board involved it will be the END!!.
Sorry to inform you about this but if you and any mates could refrain from going there practicing we may be able to keep everybody happy and be able to run events there for many years to come.
-
I am riding a Honda but i aint no top guy. T-Shock 250 getting to the top of avalanche no way . Far too much cotton wool wrapped around your Honda. Nice to see you are riding though your dad said he would observe for me if you rode!!!!. See you sunday if i survive saturday, heh cous...

We have just been setting out the Bootle Classic trial and like the Angela Redford trial we are using only one route with white flags on right blue on left simple.
All sections are of traditional nature as they were 20 odd yeras ago on Fell Green such as Avalanche Alley to name one.
The sections have no tight turns in them so no cheat trick riding needed also we are twinshock riders who plot the course.
We have got and always get a good entry of Pre 65 and twinshock riders so i think our trial and the Lancs County trial must be doing something right.
Hope you all enjoy a good weekends trialing.
