  3. sounds like it might be running way too rich especially if it starts to run fine when its running dry on fuel is ur air filter clean ?
  4. bleed it from the bottom up with a syringe and a little bit of hose between the syringe and the nipple .done mine last week in about 2mins
  5. get your local blacksmith to extend the rack its only a 15 min job .a lot cheaper than buying a new one
  6. changed fork seals and oil on my 06 rev 3 and now i have no rebound dampening .is there something ive missed when rebuilding as it seemed pretty straighforward and ive got the right air gap

  9. always put a bit of valve grinding paste on the taper of the crank then offer up the flywheel and grind the two surfaces together until they mate perfectly then fit the woodruf key and torque it up . it is not the woodruf key thats supposed to hold it in the right place thats the job of the taper the key is only there to make sure it is correctly alligned
  10. try using that shell v power petrol and good 2 stroke but not silkolene ideally putolene ,i had exactly the same problem on a cr250 i used to own and it just about drove me daft until i was told to try this and it cured it completely and plugs lasted for ages

  12. far better option is to buy a honda c90 as your rough commuting hack (they are bulletproof and will takes years of abuse ) and keep your trials bike for the weekend
  13. try putting a film negative down between the seal and the leg
  14. if its just for trail riding why not go for a ktm exc type of thing .far more suited to trailing that an evo or gas gas which are really just out and out competition bikes
  15. yes even if an MOT cert has only got a week or less on it to run you can still get a years tax with it .yes if its 3 yrs old it needs an mot regardless
  16. more than likely drawing air from the inlet side check all your connections and the rubber inlet manifold
  17. get the plug out ,some wd40 down the bore ,turn it over for a while then make sure its sparking ,a capfull of petrol down the bore and a new plug in and kick it over and take it from there .you never know it might run like a dream .why strip down when you might not have to

    4rt Oil

    hydraulic oil is a great lubrication oil and will work in far higher tolerences than is required in a 4rt gearbox .think how much pressure is in a jcb hydraulic pump running at 1000s of psi for weeks on end .some people swear by atf for gearboxes what do you think that is its just a type of hydraulic oil .if the bikes all good and at decent money i wouldnt think twice about buying it

    Gutless Rev 3

    hi having a bit of bother with my sons 07 125 rev 3 .its developed a really gutless flat spot just above tickover but when its reved above this its fine also wont tickover .ive cleaned the carb ,airfilter and new plug but cant think of anything else .anybody any ideas
  22. yes you can indeed camp and ride anywhere in scotland .just as long as you dont get caught . ha ha

    more than likely the resistance in the ignition coil breaking down, phone the guy at motoplat think his name is steve and he will tell you how to test it with a meter
