  1. Hello what trials club are you in

  2. Here is a scan from my 89*rtl250S owner manual and parts list. By alfathailande By alfathailande I don't know if the drum brakes models were in 6 or 12 volt in order to use the proper regulator-rectifier If your bike is not an european model, there is no lighting coil in the stator. In this case you can may be find a coil from a small Honda engine. My RTLs were imported from Japan thus no lights. When I ride a little bit far from home, I fit a set of lights for bicyle.
  3. Hello Jim, I own a copy from the TLR250 parts catalogue. There are nearly 80 pages without the descriptions in French and German. Is there someone else who knows if it can be downloaded from the web or another way to obtain it from UK? Maybe on Yahoo Japan where if found the catalogue from the RS200T/TL200RII. I case of need, let me know, to bind a copy of the catalogue and send by int'l air will cost about 8

    Tlm 50 ?

When I was riding my TLR250 Delwiche in 1986 in the Belgium's trial national championship, there were a few young guys riding on TLM50 and one boy on mono-shock RTL50. In the port of Bangkok were I go sometimes to find bikes and spares parts for TLR, TLM and RTL, there is one of these tlm50 for sale. Since 2 years, nobody is interested and at the not negotiable price of about 400
  5. I don't know about the RS250TA. Is it different from the RTL250F? The wheels' hub from the TLR200 and TLR250 are different. The TLR250 are from the same design as RTL250S, TLM200 and TLM240. What is for sale on Ebay US must be from a 5 speed XL125 (the same plate is fitted on my RS200T with a cap for the not fitted speedo gear). The plate from Ebay UK is looking like ...something else..(picture not clear). The drums from the TLR200 (or TLR125) are smaller 90mm against 110mm for the TLR250. The front wheels can be inverted between 200 and 250 but not the rear because the axles' diameter are 12mm for the 200 and 14mm for the 250 These pics from my honda manuals.
  6. In Thailand where I am retired, it
  7. You were helpfull in reminding that my workshop is a mess to clean as soon as possible. The carburetor on the 88 TLR is indeed a 24 mm TLM Carburetor and I had already one of these carb. I broke a TLM a few months ago and following your answers had a look at the engine and saw that the carburetor was the same but not the inlet manifold. A deeper mystery is from witch bike are coming the inlet manifold and the tube to the air cleaner. These are fitted properly on the bike. On the right picture of the TLM's inlet manifold with 4 screws. Thanks for help.
  8. I just receive from Japan my last (but not least?) RTL250S. This one with disc brakes. The 85-87 RTL with drumbrakes like the TLR200/250 are fitted with the 22mm carburetor from the early CB100. The other 88 RTL250S I have here has the same model in 24mm. But this bike came with a different carburetor KEIHIN type 63A YG which seems to be original. What is nice is the starter on the right hand side easy to handle. The frame number is RTL250SF-8810021 (matching engine) so must be older than the other RTL n
  9. The TLR250F hubs were mounted on different bikes RTL250S - TLR250R - TLM200 the rear wheel hubs can be find on the TLM220 and 250 (front disk brake). In the north of Thailand were I live, the TLR200 and TLM200 are quite common as cheap second hand bike imported in Thailand from Japan. some pictures on this website: http://www.ataq.qc.ca/galerie/index.php?fo.../Mus%E9e/Honda/
