MONTman..
to get back on subject...
You might want to hook up with Oscar Osika. He rides some south midland events.....nice guy, and he's polish. I'm sure he'll be going, in fact, I think he might be minding for Tadeusz.
If you see him at a trial...just ask him..he's a top bloke and I;m sure he would help you out.
Wish I could join you!!..maybe next time.
I think out of all the world rounds..if I had a choice, that would be the one Id go to.
-
Yes....actually the Portugese can be pretty scarey. But still reckon UK is worse. China is just FUN!!!...specially if you go out at night with the Fai Jai's (boy racers)...they have this game where they dont race, but they drive as close to each other as they can.....funny stuff...and when they DO have their illegal races, there are some rather interesting prizes!!! ...(i;ll leave that to the imagination!)
-
Worse drivers are definately in uK...where theres just too many rules, and drivers expecting others to follow them.
Places with less rules are much better I reckon...then everyone looks out for themselves...
SOrry...got off topic..but glad I got that off me chest
I've only been to Poland once but thought it was fantastic...go, go go...and the girls are loverly!
-
bikespace..
I sent an entry in, and I;m anxious to know if it arrived or not...will it be up on the web soon, or should I give Jean a call??..(dont wanna bother her unneccesarily)..
cheers for any advice
-
Cheers nickday
I will certainly keep an eye out for second hand ones. I was pretty set on getting one after reading all Ralphs reports. Hopefully you can sort yours out, since he seems very happy with his
-
HI Nickday..
If you dont mind me asking..how much was the Dellorto, and where from??...Im thinking of getting one for my Beta, coz I just cant seem to get it running sweet with the Mikuni..I know its probably my lack of skill with carbs, but it would be nice to spend less time fettling and more time riding.
cheers

-
Aww...thats great news Ian. Hope you'll stick at it afterwards too!
-
Hee-hee...in your own words bikespace..
You's a funny guy..I kill you last!!!
-
Cheers Pete...
Wow..buster did well eh!...and lots of others...like I said, I reckon there were some really good riders there.
Real shame about my five on the last section..still really gutted about that
-
Echo your seniments Pete...what a brilliant day. Yeah..I felt sorry for some of the observers having to walk up and down the sections to enable punch card marking. As a rider I prefer having the punch card, since Im too thick to remember my score as I ride round!!!!!!...it was going well too...untill the very last section which I fived...my only five of the day..so a very costly one...DOH!!!!!
Will still look forward to seeing the results though.
The trial was really fantastic in my opinion, and the severity of the sections were spot on for me. I know quite a few riders had low scores, but there did, to me seem to be alot of very talented riders there, so I guess the low scores just shows how good some of the guys were!
I was particularly impressed by Tom Foulkes...followed him around, and I think he only dropped 2 all the way!
-
Thanks scorpa3...good to know. I better get offline and give Tim a ring though, 'cause I dont have an observer!
I should have changed to Bewdley club since I think all the S.Shrops lot are riding for Bewdley, but I forgot!..oops..
Cant think of anything else....but thanks for that info.!
-
Hi all...
didn't want to bother the organiser since he's probably been on the phone all day today!
Couldnt download the info I received on email about this trial. Is there anything unusual that I need to know about??...(long loops?..fuel drops?? etc etc.)
I'm hoping I'll get away with just finding out when I turn up,. but if theres anything you guys think I need to know beforehand..please let me know
Bit late I know, but I've been busy all week...thanks in advance..and see you all tommorow!
-
No worries bikespace.
Yep..it was a good trial gasserboy!....Will be camping for me then...and hopefully the full 3 days...(if I can clear it with the dragon)!!...but certainly the Sunday and Monday.
cheers for all the info.

Bloomin ek Tone...I kept tellin you that ages ago..its really good to repack..you should notice quite a difference. I havent tried the preshaped stuff yet, but the loose stuff is easy enough too like Betarev3 said. I usually use the 'carpet' role one rather than the absolutely loose cotton wool type of one. Its pretty easy. Chopsticks are the best for persuading it in with!!!
-
Hi Tone,pitley,gasserboy...(met you ages ago gasserboy, but you may not remember)..
Anyway...what fantastic news. I've missed this trial the last couple of years, and cant WAIT to do it.
I THINK Tony its the last bankholiday in May...(25th?26th)...you must come up TOne...bring Mal too...and bo*** if he can make it.
If Llanfylin do another trial the day AFTER the big one..(think they usually do), I'm gonna camp there if its possible. You're very welcome to stay here too TOne.
What good news...thats made my day that!
-
you might want to post this under twinshock as well. I know theres a couple of guys that ride Majesty's and regularly read the twinshock bit. Especially pitley, who seems to really like his Majesty
-
Hi all...
especially bikespace if you're reading this.
Does anyone know if the Forest Trophy Trial is gonna go ahead this year??..I remember reading on here recently that there may be some land problems?
-
HI bo drinker...sorry you bent ANOTHER chain tensioner. Quite, agree...its probably best to wait for snail mail...no worries though..brilliant day and venue eh!
-
Just a quicky to say a HUGE thanks to all at the Rhayader (hope I spelled that correctly)..club, for putting on a terrific trial today.
For me the sections were spot on..(ahem..that still means I dropped plenty of marks!)...what a fantastic venue too...can't wait for the next one.
Are the results gonna be online anywhere?...thanks again
-
If you do all of that it will be fine I would have thought. I've left road bikes and trials bikes for 10 months plus before now and never had a problem...dont worry..be happy
-
REALLY bad news from what Ive heard of the event, and I was really looking forward to doing it this year..Forest Trophy trial I mean. Hope that there is some way of getting it back bikespace?
-
Hi Malc,
If it helps, I gave my punch cards to the young guy riding the Scorpa, (he was observing at section 8?? I think). Possibly, quite a few of the late finishers gave their cards to him.
-
HI all,
Just wondered if anyone has received results for the Abergaveny trial near Sugar Loaf on March 4th.
OR...is there anywhere I can view them online...(they're not on the club website, at least when I last looked).
Thanks in advance for any info.
-
Nice one Barry...
hope you enjoy it as much as I would you..lucky,lucky guy
