  1. See you there bo! I was gonna go to the Mrythr (sp??) trial, but clows top is quite a bit closer, and I'm not really into driving too far. Did a dudley trial at kinlet recently and they are a very good club, putting on a good trial, so it should be a good day!
  2. Mmmmmm ...just got the results in the post....and they added a 5 where I DEFINATELY didnt get one!!!...on section 5, which was probably the easiest section of the day. Ah well, it happens alot doesnt it, so I suppose its best to get used to it. Shame though coz without that I'd have second place rather than 4th. Never mind, still really enjoyed it, and will definately be back there for another one..hopefully soon.
  3. Yep..that IS a shame. Same old story though eh!...a few bad eggs spoil it for the rest. I think you were there last SUnday??...sorry if I rode straight past without saying hi. I'm still really crap at recognising people that a. I havent seen for a long time, and b.when they got a helmet on I think Im going senile (sp?) as well.... Do you know if the results will be online anywhere. Looks like the midland acu website hasn't been updated for ages so I'm not really expecting to see them on there.
  4. Did the Dudley trial at Old mine in Kinlet last Sunday. Cracking trial...so thanks to all the organisers....also my first time at the old mine. I've noticed there's quite a few trials held there, which is good news, because I personally thought it was a really good venue. Would be nice to see the results though...are they online anywhere??
  5. Aren't they fairly quiet when they are 'as new'...and then people take the restrictors out, which makes 'em noisy??
  6. as a FAIRLY regular rider of an Aprilia Climber 280,,,(its actually my dads bike...honest!!!)..i think the new forum should be renamed Aprilia for NUTTERS forum. Its such a beast of a bike to ride, but I must admit, if I ride it for a while, when I get back on my Beta, everything feels alot smoother, easier, and more importantly more gentle. My Aprilia is so fierce it could pull yer arms off
  7. Yes thank you Adsy...I do know a bit of French!..we were talking about La Nouvelle Classique, not the 5 day Verdon event.
  8. Welcome...and get that rear brake fixed!!...it might help you avoid the trees...hee-hee..if you used to do pushbike trials, we'll probably all be learning off you!!!!!
  9. OK..thanks guys..still need a few days/weeks, to sort out if I can definately do it, but lets hope so!!..sounds like FUN!! Thanks for all your help.
  10. Oh man...yeah, the bug!!..I just cant get rid of it, since I started about 3 and a half years ago. I'm even thinking of buying a cheap used cycle trials bike, in the hope that it will help me to get my FIX more often. Got nowhere to ride my Beta for miles from here, so if Im working at weekends its really hard to get out for a practice. Does my head in!!!...I used to practice about 3 times a week when I lived in Hong Kong. Again..have fun guys..I'll be thinking of you all
  11. Would love to join you guys, but I've gotta work all weekend...damn!!!!!!!!! cancelled too much work to do the Forest Trophy last weekend, so gotta keep my head down and try to earn a few pennies for a while. Hope to see u on that Gasser again soon though Ian. Have fun all....oh and thanks for the open invite Scorpa 3
  12. Thanks hrc took a while to find it, but it I did in the end..seems like it is August 3rd 4th 5th...which is potentially pretty good for me. Couldnt work out if its only for classic bikes, but I;ll have another look at it later. THanks again STU
  13. Thanks Mike, that one in August would be perfect. I prefer the South too, partly coz I've a friend with a guest house there....perfect place for my wife and littl one to stay at whilst Im out having fun! Sorry to keep hassling you but if you have any further info on that one...ie, regs dates, etc I would be very gratefull...(hopefully its not only classic bikes?, since I only have a modern one). thanks again...STU
  14. Thanks Mike..and dabster. Having passed it by the dragon, I think I will not get away with 5 days of riding...(it will definately be on the cards when the little 'un is a bit older though!) However, I'm still gonna try and do something in France this summer..2 or 3 day one would be good. Do you have any more info on the sardent one dabster?...like when it is? Thanks again for the info Mike, and like I say I'll definately be on for it sometime...I probably should have waited to pop the question to the dragon since I've only just got back from doing a 2 day one in Wales. STU
  15. HI hrc1 Do you know if this same event will take place this year??..If so, I would be very interested in doing it, so any more info. about it would be gratefully received. Thanks..stu
  16. Absolutely dabster...and I wouldnt be surprised if its Alexz that has priority in the truck before very long
  17. I havent checked it for ages, but I'm sure its still there...the Ryan Young Sherco website in USA...if you google it you'll find it, and it always used to have everything you'd ever need to know about Shercos.
  18. hiya Tone...if you get any results for Sat. in the post, please let me know what happened...cheers
  19. if thats true it would be a great shame....
  20. I know you guys are busy enough bikespace, but may I suggest a letter of thanks to the RSPB for being so accomodating?? Anyway..getting back on subject...I still have a big grin on my face...cant believe how much I enjoyed it...a massive thanks again to all the organisers/observers. July sounds good to me anyway!!!..shame we'll all have to wait a bit longer..but maybe, just maybe the trial might coincide with the british summer....(usually lasts about a couple of days doesnt it??) ...shame you missed it Gaz.Hope you dont have any other sisters getting married soon
  21. I was wondering where the results might be. Good on Kirsty...I'll have a look at those in a moment. I'm hoping the results for the Saturday are there too, if not, if someone could post them here I would be very gratefull, coz I forgot to take a SAE with me.
  22. WOW..what an amazing two days I've just had with Llanfyllin DMCC. They sure know how to put on a good trial. Todays event (Forest Trophy Trial) was just fantastic. A HUGE thank you to all off you that helped organise it ,and especially to the observers who put up with awfull weather all day. I can't wait for next year now!
  23. Personally I wouldnt bother..I always take mine off, and reckon they're much better without it. Even in the mud which is where most people that like them say it helps, I just dont see that it does. Mind you ...I am a VERY average rider, or even below average, so dont just take my word for it.
  24. Mmmm...I guess a black frame would look nice Barry...good idea. You'll be pleased to know I recently made a mod to my bike....well..actually immediately after I last saw you. Yes..a new clutch hose....Maybe its just bad luck to go riding with you or something??
  25. I think he ...but more so his bike!, are in Poland for a while to do the Polish championship. I know he is coming back to UK next week, but if you see him at an event he will probably be watching or observing rather than riding. If I speak to him soon, I'll ask him if he has any advice.
