Welcome to the wonderful world of trials

I did once find all the info for Dellorto model numbers but can't seem to find it again....
You could try e-mailing Dellorto, they might know?
sales@dellorto.co.uk (can't find a contact for the U.S)

True, but as well as cutting you can add brazing, soldering and general heating to the list. I can't remember the last time I used gas to weld anything, I only ever use it as a heat source these days hence using propane instead of acetylene? TIG, MIG, arc and plasma tend to my welding and cutting needs these days. Kinda stuffed in a power cut though

I think they're both 5/8 BSP left hand thread fitting but for the sake of 20 quid or so a dedicated propane regulator would be better?
GJ
-
Oxy - propane is an option for the occasional user and no annual rental (apart from the initial down payment on the bottles?

Yep, the helmet to the right of the camera certainly isn't being worn by either the rider or a pillion? Does look pretty convincing the first time you watch it though?

Along with a tyre inflator and a blow nozzle for achieving the things you've mentioned (and numerous other tasks) I also have the following;
Spray guns for spraying things
Nail guns for nailing things
Cut off tool for cutting things
Grinder for grinding things
Needle gun for needle gunning things
Chisel for chiselling things
Stapler for stapling things
Brake bleeder for bleeding things
Paraffin gun for, well washing oily things and lubing the underside of Land Rovers
Plasma cutter (needs compressed air)
Impact gun for impacting things
Ratchet for ratcheting things
Grease gun for greasing things
Sander for sanding things
Die grinder for putting things in your eye when you forget to put goggles on......
etc etc etc
Yes you can probably achieve most tasks without a compressor but they fairly make life easier if you have one. If you prefer a challenge try taking the engine out your trials bike and fit it with pedals! 8 out of ten compressor owners prefer engines, the other two blow up air beds as a hobby
Convinced you yet?

Excellent write up by tankygsy
Also some good general advice here - Buyers guide
Perhaps worth adding that spares can be quite expensive compared to other types of motorsickle - mudgaurds (fenders) being my biggest sucking of the teeth bartering tactic!

You might want to consider having a look here?
Cheaper 2 way Radios
Slightly dearer 2 way Radios
Headsets
Cheaper option than the Scala set up and could also be used for covert night ops?

Have a look here to help you decide which tyre buy- Click here for black round rubber things

You MUST first learn that all trials related videos need to have an AC-DC track on them. It's the law
As for not moving, the previous comments posted have obviously missed the fact that it's an old Beta and they should know that old Betas don't run. Everyone needs to start somewhere though but to progress to moving forward while keeping your feet on the pegs I'd suggest buying a GasGas and perhaps asking someone other than a chair to hold the video camera?
All things aside, you're doing really well. Looking forward to the next video, keep up the practice.

One step at a time dude, keep going the way you're going and everything else will fall in place. While you're at it, convince all your other jump bike mates that trials is the way forward

I've encountered a few over zealous parents (fathers) that would benefit greatly from devices like this! You know who you are, let the kid ride the section the way he/she wants to, yelling at them will only detract from their natural learning. You can't force talent by shouting. Ear plugs would be more beneficial(and cheaper) but at least with intercom the kid has the option of turning down the volume!
Verdict: Leave the technology and shouting for those that know what the f*ck they're talking about and ENJOY what you and your kids doing I rest my case.
If you desire such a device for ripping the sh*t out your mate when they make a super a*** of themselves then by all means ignore my rant and communicate freely

Filtering fuel before it goes into the tank is all well and good but remember that the tank needs to breathe! Particulates from the atmosphere will be drawn into the tank in the same sort of manner as they are drawn into the carb via induction. On that subject, crap in the carb might have got there from through your air filter and not through you fuel line?
So, filter the fuel going in the tank, filter the fuel from the tank to the carb and make sure your air filter is clean and oiled.
Do all these and I'll bet you'll still find something in your carb when (if) you service it!
The joys of the infernal combustion engine, live with it, deal with it and enjoy it Regular servicing is a must (wives and girlfriends also fall into this category).

If you can buy a new bike cheaper than what you've just spent please let us know We're lucky the price of spares hasn't went up in relation to the price of a new bike these days or we'd be paying about
-
Tidy machine Mark with a price to match ! Mate of mine just sold his Z1B last year, now that was a scary bike to ride but what a grin factor I'll stick with me Bonny cafe racer for now, the joys of yesteryear with todays reliability - bring on the summer
GJ

Nice one Merry Krimbo to you too
GJ

Not even close (well, perhaps the barely legal stuff in my youth ) I get my kicks out the Snap-on catalogue and Ninja monthly
I couldn't care less what they're trying to advertise, I mearly had an interest in the tunes and the fact they were performed by some rather nice looking young ladies! If Jeff Goldblum floats yer boat then who am I to argue 'tis a good ad though

Hi Rich,
how old is the brake hose? These can deteriorate over the years and start to expand under pressure causing sponginess? Also check for damage in the hose which will again have the same effect. A new master cylinder seal kit never goes wrong either?
....and as you're probably aware, ALWAYS use new fluid from a sealed container.
If all else fails ask Santa for a new bike
