It's from Beta so should be available through all Beta dealers? Give Lampkins a bell?
If you're on a budget go for option 2 of my original post? To improvise and adapt is always easier on the wallet

Yep 'Flexalan' is the way to go. Helps to waterproof them as well (allegedly)?
One point though, you don't mention the type of boot. If they're motocross boots you'll struggle to soften them up?

Good idea, nice pressie to give to the Mrs. She's bound to like it and I might even sit and watch it with her (Cunning plan)

Sounds like it might be drawing air in from somewhere? Check the inlet rubber for a good seal and make sure there are no cracks in it.

Well done Phil, there's no turning back now !

My step-son just completed his first trial last month - he's now totally hooked.
Follow Sloggers advice and you'll not go far wrong. The nerves will soon disappear, don't worry about your score, just enjoy it !
Best of luck / balance and remember to let us know how you got on. I'm quite sure it wont be your last

Yep, too much oil will cause this regardless if it's the right stuff or not. take the filter out and wring it out in a towel/rag/wifes best table cloth to remove the excess. Better still, wash it, dry it and use some of your new stuff - but not too much !

Can't check for sure 'cos I'm working away just now but from memory (not reliable) I think they are a 6mm thread with a 1mm pitch? Dont know how long, probably about 15mm?
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong?
Hope this helps?

Me too I've been to the convention many times over the years, participated in the moped marathon (absolute hoot) and seen some fantastic bikes of all shapes and sizes. It's always the place to be for bumping into people you haven't seen for years (or since last year) and it's a great day for all the family. The transport museum is also well worth a look round, it's full of stuff to keep the kids amused and the dads (and mums) can put on the rose tints and reminisce with lots of memorabilia from the good old days.
Go on - no excuses - you know you want to ?

P.S. If you do go (which you will, won't you?) watch your speed ! Grampian Police will be everywhere with their radar guns !

Splash out on one of these 'Clicky Here' as lineaway suggests
or one of these 'Cheaper options', tighten it up and knock it through as you have done in the past.
Boiling water / heat gun trick also helps
If all else fails then it's grind and chisel (carefully).

Sorry Cope, the Scots Haggis (Hagijockuli-Ltn) is impervious to bullets and must be stalked and captured in a kevlar-titanium net. After capture it is humanely put to sleep using large quantities of whisky and soothing bagpipe music (??). Unlike the English Haggis (Hagiwimpulus-Ltn) which isn't quite so tough and can be shot (but the only legal hunting ground is in the houses of parliament, preferably with fully auto weapons fired indiscriminately).
Book your flights now!
English haggis ? Suits me fine if it catches on, it might stop all the immigrant workers in the north sea from moaning so much in the galley on a sunday?

Don't know about the computer fan? 'CRASH' springs to mind?
Why dont you try a motorcycle breakers or flea-bay and look for something off a small watercooled bike? Making it fit may prove a challenge but anything is achievable when cash is short !

Excellent work John and I like the music. The perfect compliment to the CJB dvd.
I took both camera and camcorder and hardly used them due to the weather so all the hard work by everyone else is much appreciated. Money well spent
Cheers.

Hi Donnie,
I changed a front on an old JTX a couple of weeks back and took it to 120 psi before it popped onto the rim !
I was however standing round the corner of very thick wall at the time.
In my experience, normally between 50 and 70 to get a tyre (tubed or tubeless) to bead properly.

Hi Mike,
You'll have more choice when shopping around if you go for a 250 and whatever you get could be tamed down easily and cheaply with a slow action throttle, head spacer or for a few quid more, a flywheel weight. Once you get the hang of it and gain confidence you'll have the option of returning it back to standard. I reckon you could regret getting a 200 due to your physical stature?
Whatever you end up with let us know how you get on? Enjoy

Too bizzare !
Q; What's the difference between a piano and a Beta?
A; We'd all find it easier to tune a piano!
Gone Chopin, (have Liszt), Bach in a Minuet.

Hi Simon,
you don't say what kind of bike you have? Just a guess but I'd take a look just in front of the sprocket and check for damage. Many bikes have the clutch slave cylinder here and if the chain bunches up there it can jam the cylinder. Does the clutch lever move as normal or does it refuse to pull back?
As much info as possible will help future posts1
