    Premix Oil

My mates brother-in-law uses it without any problems ( so far ). But you've just got to ask ....... WHY ??????? Perhaps if whoever is in front of you has serious flatulence problems you could get them to use it ????? Why strawberries anyway ? Why not bananas ? Or Old Spice ? If they come up with something thats smells of Kylie Minogue, then I'd be interested ! GJ

    Nerves?

Some random choice quotations to help overcome that sense of ' bricking it ' as rransome so nicely puts it................... "Everyone is shy --- it is the inborn modesty that makes us able to live in harmony with other creatures and our fellows. Achievement comes not by denying shyness but, occasionally, by setting it aside and letting pride and perspiration come first." ~ Kirkpatrick Sale ~ Keep your thoughts positive, Because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive, Because your words become your behaviors. Keep your behaviors positive, Because your behaviors become your habits. Keep your habits positive, Because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive, Because your values become your destiny. ~ Ghandi ~ Do it 'coz ya love it ~ Me ~ Have fun, GJ

    Gas Gauge

A weight saving topic, marvellous My ideal solution (for me) would be a strict diet. That way I could save about 12 pounds, save money by not buying beer and then ruin it all by investing in a larger tank so I could go round and round and round without stopping to fill up with petrol Neat trick with the fuel pipes though
  7. Certainly was, a most enjoyable day even if I did get last place ! (Someone has to, might as well be me )
  8. First used it years ago when I opened a yahoo mail account, now its kind of stuck for any web based log on. Saves memory overload, it's hard enough trying to remember all the passwords ! My first 2 initials and I USED to be a biker (long hair, beardy type with tattoos) . Now I'm older I prefer to see myself as a motorcycle enthusiast but 'GJmotorcycleenthusiast' just dont have the same ring to it ???? GJ
  9. Hi Pindie, if you haven't already done so it's worth downloading these videos HERE I've found them very helpful in the past. GJ
  10. My mate borrowed my sons 125 (Sherco) a couple of weeks back and got on brilliantly with it. So much so he's considering getting rid of his 280 and buying a 125 ! I quite often swap bikes with my son and I must admit, although underpowered on the big climbs it's probably all I need. There's many a 125 rider will show up the big boys (there's many a 50 rider that makes me look bad but that's another story). As has already been mentioned, if you want to enter a trial as a youth you will need to ride a 125. Go get one and get your name on the results page
  11. Caustic soda is great for de-coking header pipes but using it in a silencer box may cause the packing material to break down. Cutting a hole and repacking is the way forward. You can make a 'butt' type flange from sheet steel / alloy around the cut out and pop rivet back on with some gun gum if you don't know any TIG welding mates. GJ
  12. There are specials 'pliers' for these type of clips but they're not a must. The same result can be had by using a normal pair of pliers or pincers (nail pullers) and a small flat tip screwdriver. Just slighlty compress the lumpy bit, insert the little screwdriver and twist it slightly to release the clip. I'm sure you'll suss out how to put it back on if you manage to get it off ???? A pair of the 'special' hose clip pliers can be purchased at most auto/diy stores for about tenner. A wise investment if you plan on doing a lot of your own mechy work. GJ

    250 Or 280

I'm on my second 280 now but I tamed this one down with a flywheel weight as it was a bit too 'flighty' for my needs. I reckon the 250 would of suited me fine but it was all down to price. The money saved was enough to pay for the flywheel weight and some new riding gear ! If you are relatively new to trials I would suggest the 250 but if you have a bit experience then you shouldn't have much trouble handling the extra ooomf of the 280. Ultimately it's down to age, price and condition. The choice is yours......... GJ
  14. New tin of Deep Heat, knee supports and Mrs Wife wants my life insurance upgraded ! Happy Christmas to me
  15. Nice one Well worth the download, especially if you're in the market for a four stroke. Lots of info and cool pics.

Try this.... Tech Vids Hang on ! Wrong one ! Watch this space..........I'll be back.......... OK, lets try again...... 2nd time Lucky ! GJ
  18. If your master cylinder internals look like this ; Repair kit then quote that part number (BT27722208) to BVM and they'll sort you out. Alternatively give Gas Gas UK a call, if they can't help nobody can ???? This should be the correct part No for your bike assuming it's an original brake master? If you reckon it's not standard then go back to the AJP website and browse the repair kits to see if any match your own. Their part numbers (the long ones) are the same as Gas Gas as opposed to the part numbers on the BVM website. Hope this helps ? GJ
  19. Personally, I could strip either bike down to the last nut and bolt and rebuild them but thats by the by if your own mechy skills are lacking ! As for the easiest one to learn on, are we speaking mechanical learning here or rider learning ? You can practice your mechanics on anything (I started helping my Grandad with old brit bikes 35 years ago), so no matter what bike you get you'll be able to get the spanners twirling. All bikes are difficult to work on if you have little or no experience ! Be careful and remember, the only silly question is the one that isn't asked! Same applies to riding, you can practice on a pushbike ! I would say either (or any bike) is good to learn on, stick with the 250's though or even the Gasser 200. Any more cc's and you're asking for trouble. Once you've had a go on different bikes you'll know yourself which one suits you best? Sorry if I can't be of any more help, my best advice is just get something, anything and get out there and have fun GJ
  20. I've owned both Scorpa and Gas Gas, enjoyed them both and neither gave me any major problems. Try before you buy is always the best advice, you'll decide yourself which one suits you better. GJ
  21. Dont know how much for the gasser but I just bought a new one for my sons Sherco for
  22. Sounds like the answer to me ?
  23. Is it the motor making the noise or is it the blades hitting something ?
  24. Could also be the master cylinder piston seals? Checklist; Replace- seals (master and slave), brake hose, brake fluid, pads. Thoroughly bleed system until 100% sure there's no air. Clean disc with solvent cleaner then hot soapy water, dry with best guest towel. Brakes should now be tickety boo ? No ?? Buy a Gasser GJ
