HI all The bike in question is a Matchless a g3lc trials 1957 ,according to the log book. I'm looking to lower gearing although all ready a trials model still to fast in sections ,gearbox sproket all ready as small as possible i think?Is there a primary sprocket with less teeth? Any help would be very much appreciated. thank you richard

Hey I'm on the wrong side of 19stone (use to feel sorry for my bike) it don't half hurt when you go a pisser don't it.Always used to wind up the nuts on the springs to adjust suspension but now leave it standard and it seems fine these modern water cooled bikes sure have plenty of power to compensate my bulk!

If your like me it's quite rare that you need to bleed the brakes you could most likely bleed at the calliper pipe pump rear brake quickly the push down while opening the pipe union when fully down close pipe union repeat several times until the brake feels firm(when you,ve owned old land rovers this was quite a common doge that I used to save myself some money)

I remember seeing Takumi Narita at Houton tower near Blackburn in the 1991 season on the works 4 stoke Honda what a fantastic sound that bike made as he blasted up the big hill climb,finished 8th switched to Beta for 1992 season moved up to 6th, dropped to 7th 1993 then moved up to 5th for 1994 season I think this was is highest position in the world rounds ?(not sure) also remember Malcolm Rathmell getting his autograph.Any one remember the Alpha and the Alfer bikes from the 1991 season are there any in Britain?
