  1. You have got the right name if that helps?
  2. Your right people voted with their feet as far a spectating goes and most would agree that the dynamic style and hard sections that the top lads can perform on is awesome to watch and that would increase spectators, but would it decrease riders? I like many others have ideas but no real answer wonder what next year will bring?
  3. Andrew you seem to think that by attending more events than me your opinion is better, however, I will humour you rather than patronise? You asked me the same question of how many WTC I had attended at the Wallace, having asked before on the forums I gave you an answer ''more than you'' the answer was of little relevance in my eyes? but you did inform me that the 80/90's is different to it is now? You have probably attended more BTC than me, not sure where your register of attendance is leading to have an opinion, but I am sure you will let us know? Gary Linekar, Alan Hanson and Mark Lawrenson don't play football anymore and probably don't attend many matches, but they have an opinion on the sport? However lets go with your theory that by attending gives you a better opinion and will make our sport better? Your doing a sterling job you and the attendees. Totally off topic, but deserved a response. Andrew our opinions may differ, but we both have something in common a passion for our sport? The BTC is the pinnacle of our sport in this country and deserves its status, this I agree with you, but it clearly isn't working in previous or present format and TC is a fantastic marketing tool to get some ideas, I would be interested to hear your ideas of rules and format and maybe the T&E commitee will be looking in?
  4. Yep! Can't see the problem make the decision by the obsever easier, so deadly seriuos I'm afraid In ''Essence'' I think it would be more 50/50 split by the riders being happy maybe stearing towards the stop and hop rules? but lets be fair the previous BTC wasn't working, so I applaud the T&E commitee for giving it a go, what happens at Rugby will be interesting if this didn't work and the previous didn't work options are running out? The BTC should be a challenge, but you are only challenging 2 men if you make the sections hard, the rest will slog around for 3's and 5's all day, reckon a few will get fed up of that and go and ride a centre trial closer?
  5. http://www.armstrong-trials.co.uk/cmt350.html I remember Howard as we also rode Armstrongs for the Army back in the 80's, the picture above is my actual bike from 1985! Interesting website for the old Armstrong brand.
  6. Was there a poll or a vote on your findings about riders not liking it? Just curious where the info came from? Do riders really need to know there score to change their working lives as a rider, surely just to train harder and ride better is the best formula?
  7. This works in principal, but practice is far removed? By making trials harder which we all like to watch this has been proven to reduce entries, yes the point has been made about numbers of entries and is that really important? but surely running a BTC or a WTC for a handful of riders isn't good for the sport. In reality there are 2 riders in the BTC, maybe 3 in the WTC that ride consistantly, so it makes no difference how hard or easy the section is these guys will come out on top over a series. Now if Dibs and Pune want to hone their skills against the best then maybe they should ride the Spanish Championship, like Doug did? Yes it is down to sponsors etc. etc. but if they had the best interest of the rider and product in mind then surely that is where they should be? The Spanish ain't going to bring it to us so let us take it to them, yes that will be detrimental to the BTC but I really can't see a way of getting a future British World Trials Champion. Back on subject: Simple solution scrap the punch cards go back to boards, no rider or minder or manager can get the score off the observer and scores will be available at the end of the day. If an observer feels the need to 5 a rider within the rules then that can be appealed at the end, but it does take the pressure off the ''Volunteer' observers?
  8. New Gas Gas trick bits in a store near you
  9. Expert, Intermedate and Clubman listed in awards http://www.scarboroughdmc.co.uk/upl/doc/50537369a0c52.pdf
  10. Your absolutely right Andrew, he has done some gardening in the past in the section, but the rules allowed him in the section in Graham's years? I am not condoning it is right to do gardening, but everyone does it me, you right up to WTC level. The rules state this year that only the minders can be invited into the section at the discretion of the obsever I beleive, so why oh why was Shirty in the section, not as a spectator surely as he has stated and if (Iwasn't there) he started rubbing, shifting, moving rocks and altering the section under the nose of the CoC who has made a very difficult decision, then as people have said you get stung? If this had happened in the first round then maybe all Team Management would stay the right side of the tape!!! If Shirty was right, why has he apologised and why has he not appealed, I do feel sorry for Pune and he ain't gonna tell the man who pays his wages to get out of the section. Unfortunately Shirty has to live with the fact that Pune lost the BTC through his actions, not nice, but I reckon most people on here stand by the CoC decision if the actions as stated were correct?
  11. It would be very hard to comment on what happened if you were not there? But what we know and what happened is that Shirty entered the section when he knew it was against the rules and got punished for it? How much ''gardening'' went on is a secondery issue?

Hi Sam have a scout round this site http://www.futuretrial.com/en/prodotti/abbigliamento-e-attrezzatura/abbigliamento-racing-repsol-2012/ not one piece but they have some nice Mont gear take a look at the 2011 & 2010 range. Pidcocks have stared doing Repsol gear but can't seem to find it on their website maybe give them a yell.
  13. Sorry if posted before but a good 40 minites viewing
  14. A sexually active middle aged woman informed her plastic surgeon that she wanted her vaginal lips reduced in size because over the years they'd become loose and floppy. Out of embarrassment, she insisted that the surgery be kept secret and, of course, the surgeon agreed. Awakening from the anaesthesia, she found 3 roses carefully placed beside her on the bed. Outraged, she immediately called in the surgeon. "I thought I specifically asked you not to tell anyone about my operation"! The surgeon told her he had carried out her wish for confidentiality and that the first rose was from him. "I felt so sad for you, because you went through this all by yourself." The second rose is from my nurse. She assisted me in the surgery and understood perfectly, as she had the same procedure done some time ago." "And what about the third rose?" she asked. . . . . . . . "That's from a man in the burns unit - he wanted to thank you for his new ears."
  15. Are you saying that because he didn't walk the section he broke his leg? Are you saying that because he didn't have a minder he broke his leg? Not sure if either is a reason because accidents happen, still think riders should be allowed to walk each section on every lap if he wants as sections alter. Minders get rid of them!!
  16. Agree Mick about faith in our youngsters? but should we not pick our best team and if thats the case maybe DL should be in it?
  17. You could always stick a tube in this is not ideal, but has worked............my suggestion is get your Kenyan Shillings out and get a new one bought. Just curious what are the trials like in Kenya, do the observers carry guns to keep the Lions away? Bet you don't argue the score if they did Are there any dealers in Kenya or is it all mail order?

    125 Cc Ossa ?

Did they phone you? Just curious where the information has come from as reports say they are struggling as a company so if anything they would stick with the bigger bike and sell more rather than expand their product range?
  19. Good point Pete and we are not disputing that, but would you take a late entry after the closing date if someone phoned up?
  20. Yes true riders do have weeks to send their paperwork in, but as in life sometimes circumstances change and you maybe able to ride the particular weekend and not go to your Great Aunties birthday party after all? As for the programme that can't be too much of a problem and the paperwork should be pretty much the same whoever rides or are you saying that clubs that accept late entries are breaking the rules? As I said to accept the entries on a no award basis would eliminate any protests. I am not saying your wrong is this the rules for all BTC?
  21. Now before I start I this is not critical of the riders or the club, but as reported the Bullock brothers were not able to ride because the entries were closed? Shirty's point is valid in the troubled times of BTC competition you would have thought the effort put in by the club to run the event they would want as many riders as possible? On the flip side I can support the club in their decision to not accept the riders as stated they missed the closing date? Both arguements are valid, but which is right? Some trials have to have closing dates the SSDT and Scott to name but 2 as they are over subscribed and have to go to ballot? some clubs would accept a late entry, but is this unfair as they may as well not have a closing date in the regulations? Maybe the solution to the weekend was to let them ride for a no award basis, but is that what the riders would be prepared to do?
  22. I did wonder what would happen to Pune? Anything could be true at this time of year with some contracts signed and others up for grabs? With less factory rider places up for grabs then maybe there will be more satelite teams?
  23. Maybe G4S can run the BTC next year
  24. Suppose Gary Mac from Round 1 and Ross from Round 4? Now whatever the rules are you you adapt and ride whats in front of you? I have my own views and has been discused to death, but whether Gary or Ross would have won under the FIM rules is debatable. Not sure what Dibs and Punes contract states, but when Doug was at his best he didn't ride the BTC he rode the Spanish Championship again probably due to contract, but he was mixing it day in day out with the best? Maybe their contracts need looking at if they strive to be better because winning the BTC this year, last year, next year won't help them at all?
  25. Yes well done Ross and ''Team JTG'' Seems to be the never ending moan and groans but looking at the scores it does look as though the spread of marks was fair?
