Passed this today as we were diverted off the M1.
Caught a glimpse at the last minute but looks like a lot of hard work gone into it. Is there a website yet? Are there any trials events? Might pop down sometime?
-
I said disapointed didn't say they won't go as Mum & Dad are paying
-
I think it will be disapointing to many especially the kids as they would want to see the maestro perform, however, I totally respect his reason for not attending (if confirmed) due to injury. His goal is to win as many WTC as possible and the job is comp[leted this year so why risk it?
As you said it will be a better competition if he didn't ride because the battle for the next 4 places is all so close and who knows if Dibs rides his best he could bag a podium.
I hope they get the punters through the gates, but I do wonder if people may now change their mind?
If Toni did turn up he may be tempted to do a bit of show boating and that could be a worse scenario if he got that wrong?

So now people have enlightened you with the truth! You come up with this?
Back on topic looks like the French are getting things together with a winner in both Youth and Junior still a huge step to World though, reckon TB will have it for the next few years barring injury.
Now whether that be on Montesa who knows with no new bike pending it makes you wonder if Honda make the WTC their priority over other sport involvement?

It was inevitable that a Certain Mr Bou was going to be World Champion barring a disater and with number 6 in the bag any many would agree that number 7 will come next year equalling DL and JT's records.
His threat the last 2 rounds have come from Cabby and Fuji (he has got to be thinking about retirement?) both have been World Champions and Raga and Fajardo banging in the odd result, but no other threat.
You look further down the list and knowone can really say ''he will win in the future''?
So how many can he win 7, 8, 9, 10......................
We were all happy when Doug was winning week in week out and total respect from Toni, but waiting for the results on a Satuday or Sunday is more to see who came 2nd or 3rd?
The British round will still be good because the battle for the next 4 places is close.

This weekend the 23rd & 24th June will see the Earl Shilton Trials Club run their popular 2-day trial and this year we are supporting British Forces Charities and limbless soldiers who have been selected to go on a tour of Route 66 as pillion riders.
The trial will start at 1530hrs on the Saturday and 1030hrs on the Sunday.
Sam Connor will be running 2 x trials schools on the Saturday there are still places available for anyone that is interested please visit our website for details, Sam will also do a demo prior to the trial on the Saturday.
Camping, toilets and refreshments are available for those who want to camp (the army camp in the rain!) on the Saturday which will also be the start area, this will be signed off Pingle Lane, Stoney Stanton. For anyone who has ridden at this venue before do not enter the ground through the farm or via Mill Lane all vehicles need to be parked in the field.
We have managed to secure some sponsorship and many prizes so if you keep your feet up then the prizes are definitely worth having! Prize giving immediately after the event on Sunday.
So come along and support our event the monies raised will go a long way to support our charity fund raiser and most importantly our injured soldiers who have sacrificed so much.

The Gary Mac thread on FB should be on here? Don't think he is gaining many friends?
-
Cheers Andy

Any Scores?
Any Feed Back?
Any Gossip

Trials is cheap compared to MX or Enduro and don't even contemplate Road Racing with entry fees, tyres etc.
Trials has got to be the cheapest motorcycle sport?
-
You gotta hand it to Mr Bou that second lap would have been a joy to watch?
The harder the trial the gap gets bigger, as Dabster said our brits 9 cleans between them and if it was wet and muddy people have said in the past our lads would fair better....................well it sure don't look like that?
Some section modification will be done no doubt, but I fear the results will almost be a carbon copy of today?
-
The helmet on the chair behind dosn't quite go with the bike
Good restoration job!
-
-
Glad some of you ain't running my company!
The old process most agreed was broke, the new process is 2 jobs in and not tried and tested and some want to go back to the original broken process?
-
Why was the section so short?
-
2 rounds in and it ain't working? who knows if it will? Who will have an answer after 6 rounds?
The first round was possibly too easy this round was possibly too hard and not set out to No Stop can I be Clerk of the Course it sounds like a great job!!!
-
Hey we are not that daft in the Northern Hemisphere and I would question your knowledge in the Southern Hemisphere?
Looking at the photo's I would say its a YAMAHA
-
You could run one of them in most uk cities, plenty of Polish in them, they could ''BUILD'' some dodgy sections
-
Les Winthrop, many times Scottish Trials champion always cut his bars shorter when asked why he said that when riding on rocks and your bars are moving all over the place! by having the bars shorter makes your shoulders move less, hence keeping your body more balanced?
When you think about it he probably had a point, but I doubt it would of helped me?
-
Yes No Stop does not suit them, however, it has been documented many times that moving to No Stop saved the SSDT and increased the entries?
In reality the SSDT sections are easy for them so no real benefit, yes its the moors and distance that are hard to cope with, but as Dabster says more benefit in practicing for the WTC?
If the manufacturers thought it was good for their riders to ride then I am sure it would be in their contracts to do so?
-
Not sure Andrew but more to the point what do the FIM do with the money?
-
I would imagine it is for other penalties i.e bike not statring within 1 minute?
