Can't see what it matters how heavy the bike is?
Implement more and more rules to drive people and manufacturers away from the sport which isn't exactly thriving???
-
Enduros is possibly where the money is so he could disappear shame if he did as he is the only one that can get close to Mr Bou and with the numbers competing in the WTC currently who knows if it will survive?Still that has been discussed to death too?
Unless he is lined up for TRS then time to jump to ship and talk to other marks would be a good move?
-
Questions with no answers?
Will Gas Gas be resurrected by 2016?
If there is will there be a budget for a team?
Would it be best for Raga to change make of bike to regain enthusiasm and momentum?
Reality is with the best will in the World barring a disaster Toni is going to win with half the season nearly done? The other reality is that only Raga can probably get close?
If he is talking to other manufacturers with a view to riding for them then would it not be better to invest his money and ride as almost privateer in that team practicing on that bike in preparation for 2016?
Of course my theory is flawed if he is talking to Jordi Tarres or of course Bou retires?
-
Really the Honda is a handicap? Bet all the the top riders on other marks would swap and maybe results improve? Just a thought!
-
Can Raga afford to be choosey?
-
As Nigel said going off subject here
-
Richard Timperley jumped ships to Beta
-
Eddie at his peak couldn't either, Raga has ridden the Scottish and Cabastany non have faired well?
-
Not a fan of Raga, no real reason, but I hope he turns up in a van with and wins all remaining rounds?
Not that it will happen, but it may prove that the circus that is World Trials is not necessary!
People will say that the trucks, media etc is progression, but I don't see a lot of difference between the 80's with vans and Bennett Video to now? Yes the media is quicker now and much better quality, but the rest is unnecessary and as Timp says venues are limited due to accommodating the large trucks last weekends BTC for example?

Thank God for TC well done Andy looking on from California but somehow wish I was there, my lad doing the refuelling both on the ground and in the hotel on an evening.
Not only looking at the leaderboard but tight in the newcomer, over 40 class, two Army riders separated by a mark and of course Mini Mucker who is nearly 7 feet high on his 125 scooter!!
One more day all to play for?
-
Totally agree Andrew just picking up on Telecats point that people are entering the SSDT because they think they have to maintain it, does he actually realise the cost to a privateer?Agree too that it is getting too hard again and that might dwindle the numbers, the sections are getting tougher and there are lots of double subsets now especially on the Friday route, when you se Dabil hanging over the handlebars at the end of a section hyperventilating then the clubbys are going to struggle.
Back on topic Japan was a joke on two main counts the man made sections and the observing (can't blame the rules only the observers for not even attempting to implement them).
No stop don't work at WTC level and as much as the top riders with their skills are trying to disguise their no stop antics to the arm chair viewer it is frustrating. My take would be 2 minute time limit on each section do what the hell you like forwards, backwards, stop just count the dabs??

Over subscribed every year god they are getting it so wrong?

Bit of a shameless plug but as a Director of Bike Tours for the Wounded we are doing a fundraiser in July utilizing the Byways of the UK to traverse from Northumberland down to Somerset, so anyone who has got a trail/enduro bike and fancies it give me a shout?
Plug over....................This trip is with the help of the TRF (Trail Riders Fellowship) who do sterling work keeping the byways open for us to use too in many National trials and one guy that is helping us is Greg Vilollobas?
Greg's first adventure was to set off on his KTM with a compass point South and head for London on the byways enlisting local knowledge on route once there he head North on the compass bearing and headed back home to Northumberland.
So what is this post about Greg has just completed a coast to coast on an old Cota 315, bought for very little money and shows what can be done to have some fun....Enjoy!
Somebody far cleverer than me will embed this link

Nothing betterMost chain lube on the market is sticky and attracts the dirt like grinding paste WD40 repels the water after washing and give a light lubrication
-
The two yellow spokes directing you to the valve I presume?
Never been a problem finding my valve bit gimmicky?
-
Road bike market huge! Trials bike market tiny! Where would the R&D money come from?
-
Agreed Johnny.........miss it like crazy, but cannot be in two places at once, the years it snowed on the way up to Chairlift and it still has its appeal?
-
It'll be warm rain though !!!
-
Not sure how that would help our A class riders with roadwork involved to progress to the next level?
-
Not in the Arizona Desert it ain't?
-
Hmmmmmmm tough day, wasn't there, but it seems it was too tough!
-
We are not here to beat you up or tell you that one bike is better than another hell there is enough of "my bike is better than your bike" on these forums, but the reality is you have bought a dog of a bike?
Posts so far from owners are that they have to do a lot of work on them to even get them started and when you do too scared to stall at the fear of not completing a trial, can't think of another bike like that ever built?
Unfortunately I have a feeling the guy that sold it to you has the biggest smile on his face, but it would be good to go back and take his advise on starting he might have a teqnique that no one knows about?
Good look with it hopefully a solution can be found maybe sell it on?
-
Why not take it back to the seller and let him show you how to start it cold and hot, if he can't then you might have have some discussion about it?
As said Sherco have never found a full solution to this problem and it is so iratic with no set procedure that any set throttle position, how hard you kick it etc. etc. doesn't seem to work.
I hope you find a solution my friend, but I feel your frustration will grow?
-
I think your final sentence will come back and haunt you?
Sherco 4T was a huge flop for the manufacturer although when the bike was running it rode quite nice, the biggest problem they had was the one your encountering trying to start the bugger.
There have been lots of small solution improvements suggested, but I beleive none that cured it!
Return to seller if possible is my suggestion and buy a 4RT if you want the four stroke option, ultra reliable, Honda quality.............and starts with a gentle prod!
