  1. You are new, you are not allowed to follow any trial, unless you have paid your entry, this covers you while competing. Plenty of trials are nearly lost through illegal use of the land prior to the event and whilst the event is on. The Clevland is run in a National Park, so good for walking, get thy walking boots on and have a look on foot and leave the bike at home. Yes Cota kid I am riding
  2. Stop Shouting, we are deaf and certainly not BLIND!!!!!
  3. I have had several Beta's and been lucky to not have a stator go, however, as soon as one person has one go then another it is a domino effect and it becomes a major problem. Yes there has been a problem with them, but certainly not a massive percentage!!!!! There are niggling problems with every bike (4RT exempt ), and the word gets round and gossip spreads.................... Beta or Scorpa both good bikes so you won't be disapointed with either.
  4. My 4RT on ''Full Chat'' along the road with no goggles makes my eyes water
  5. As Baldilocks said Dougie Lampkin MBE Enough said
  6. Don't sit on the fence Andy totally agree, I think the indoors is a bit of a circus in any case so more interested in the outdoors. But Top Man Bou and Well done. Rumour has it that Octagon are loosing the indoors and are being taken over by Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. Tony thought that it would make him look really good at managing the indoor series, seeing Octagon have made such a mess, and it would restore a bit of faith in his management skills.............and it would be global. Gordon has seen how much money Octagon rip everybody off...................so nothing new for him Beat me to it, I think Doug has had his day as far as being WTC again, I would dearly love him to bag a 100th win though. Doug's record will stand in history for a very long time, and it will go to show what a true champion he is. Will Raga win another Outdoor, possibly, but not 7, will Bou win in 2007, probably, but again will he win 7?? I think Wiggy could pose a serious challenge in a couple of years, and who knows there may be a young up and coming youth in the Spanish ranks that will spring a suprise. So Spain can produce a star, but hell Britain have got a 7 times WTC and I think that will be very hard to beat
  7. The Wallace will be as hard as the English Rugby team played against the Irish, what a great game of rugby.............................................if you are Irish You don't have to respond Andy, because at least we beat Scotland. Don't know whether to wear for the Wallace my riding boots or my walking boots, as I feel I will be doing a lot of walking
  8. PM me with your email address and I will fire them over

    Ssdt Advice

Some advice for this years event..................... Your rucksack can never hold everything you want, but they CAN hold everything you need. Wear Heavy Boots. You can't kick ''Rocks'' when you're wearin' yer Wellies You'll get farther down the road if you learn to back her off a bit. Never ask your bike to scream before her throat is good and warm. If you ride like there's no tomorrow-there won't be. Daily maintenance should never be neglected, and is advisable If it take more than 2 bolts to hold it on, it's probably crucial. Maintain your bike well: motorcycle boots are NOT comfortable for walking. If you can't get it goin with bungees and electricians tape-it's serious. A friend is someone who'll get out of bed at 2am to drive his van to the middle of nowhere to get you when you're broken down. Never ask ''Kinell'' for directions if you want to get there. Don't lead the pack if you don't know where you're goin'. Burgers and Coffee at the lunchtime check are as important as petrol. A cold hamburger can be reheated quite nicely by strapping it to your exhaust pipe. A good rider has balance, judgement, and good timing. Thats us knackered then! If you don't ride in the rain-then you entered the wrong event. Overconfidence can be supported by your tools in your rucksack................and a roll of toilet paper. Advice from and ''Old Timer'' is free and worth every penny. More sections were cleaned in the pub than on the actual day. New riding gear dosn't make you ride better, and Lycra ain't waterproof. You gotta be smart enough to understand the no stop rules, and dumb enough to think when your on your A*se you will get away with a '3' Everyone crashes. Some get back on. Some don't. Some can't. Any other advice that may be useful?
  10. Absoutely - 1.3MB Clicky Linky (Firefox shrinks this. Click on image to expand to full size - and don't forget to scroll right!) Oh Yes
  11. Yeh right.........Really straight forward sections Lagnaha, good for 7 cleans at the end of the day
  12. Few spectators in 2004, last time Lagnaha was used
  13. 1. Dabill (because I would like a 4 stroke to win) 2. Jarvis (because he can) 3. Brown (because he is capable)
  14. Yep thats about right, I am not knocking the organisers, but hope they don't make it too hard just to stop the Expert and top Novagar Clubman riders and kill off the majority of the clubmen. Think the general census from last year was that the ''Novagar'' rounds were a bit on the tough side and steeering away from what level of rider they are aimed at. There are plenty of other nationals during the year that can cater for the expert rider, and a clubman route incorperated for the not so able Novagar rounds are a single route and has been discussed elswhere in another forum, whether they should be dual route, my opinion is for a single route, but set out in the nature that they are intended. Alan Wright has said in Black & white in T&MX that the Colmore Cup will be easier than in previous years, when I mentioned this to someone last weekend they just laughed Go on Alan prove em wrong
  15. Actually Donald she has done Kinell a favour as he is in the first group of riders on Friday, which means he has plenty of daylight hours to do his normal route up to Morar
  16. Well done HL Can have a longer snooze on Monday
  17. Apart from the usual stuff, Full bike licence, insurance, Mot if applicable, lights if riding at night etc, etc, Just a thought organisers of competitions have great problems organising these events that take place on public highways Police, land owners, the neighbourhood etc. Problem being that the off road motorcycle draws more attention from the locals than a road bike, looks noise polution will draw this unwanted attention. Maybe put the money towards getting your trials bike legal into gatting a cheap road bike to pop round your mates and save the off road bike for what it is intended.
  18. Think the sellers name says it all ''blondeambition''

  22. So ''Rappers" has arrived and may I say welcome, and look forward to reading your weekly slot. The debate about the tough one has been talked about, but it was good to hear Mike's view, I did not go and I did say I couldn't really see the point in a previous post, but it did make me wonder how many Trials Riders did actually go out of their way to watch it? Maybe off the topic of Trials Mike could have mentioned the outstanding victory of ENGLAND v SCOTLAND in the Rugby, but he might have upset Andy and his weekly slot might have turned into........................... one week only........ Well done Mike

Know someone who is selling a Sherco wheel with the correct spacer for a 4RT, so I guess the answer is yes it will fit. But will probably leak air through the spokes
