I simply asked IF??? you are part of R&D then you would know what year engine is in it? Surely you have ridden one if you were part of the R&D, but you seem to know very little about the bike to tell us?
As far as telling me to wind my neck in, I don't know you and you don't know me but I left those playground comments many years ago?
Back to the Scorpa I have said with so few players in the market then it is good to see them still going, I wonder what sales are like in other countries because in the UK not many units would be sold. They must think it is it is viable to continue production................but for how long?
-
No I said I will look after you because when I am old you will be choosing my Nursing Home
-
Really??? Maybe you should look at your previous posts you don't even know what engine is in it?
So tell me what part of R&D were you part of and in truth I suspect in truth you haven't ridden one, maybe best not to slate a bike until at least someone has thrown a leg over one and given feedback?
As I have said it looks good and at the right price with the right importer and dealer network it would sell..............................
-
Have you tried one? Many bikes and cars use the same engine but ride and drive very differently??
-
I think it looks half decent and with the sherco engine albeit maybe last years! then this is proven to be good?
With so few players in the Trials bike market then fair play to them for continuing to look at and produce a Scorpa range. As people have said not sure where the sales are coming from, but with the right importer and right price they would sell.
Maybe Nigel Birkett is the man for Scorpa and increase sales, but with OSSA under his belt too which should he push?
-
If Wiggy was riding one you would buy one
-
As Dabster said they will sell a lot more CRF 125 models and that particular motor is probably used in other bikes?
The 4RT motor is similar and derived from the CRF 250, but not the same and not used in any other motorcycle hence the huge cost

SSDT 1983
There were c13/14 Bultaco 340's I have the numbers and names? but 3 that might shed some light:
No. 211 M Bell Edinburgh Southern
No. 279 G McDonnell Seaton Delaval (Northumberland so a possibility)
No. 240 A Macpherson Lochabar & District (Bike listed as a 350, but that is what the rider would have put on the form might have been a 340?)
-
Think what people have been saying is that for the last 'X' amount of years when stop has been allowed the numbers in the WTC has declined, now they have made it no stop will two years be a good gauge of whether it will work?
Rule change at the top level won't sell bikes, if we all wanted to ride like Toni Bou then we would all be on Montesa's?
The solution on the rule change was to encourage more people into the WTC and that may filter into National, Centre and Club level events which in turn may create bike sales, as said two years is not a good evaluation as we have only been going 12 months I think we will be having the same conversation in a years time?
Does all this change what we do on a Sunday?

Riders asking for fives at the SSDT too many times are unlikely to get an entry again? Can't see the Scott adopting this policy as it is not over subscribed and who is to say someone hasn't made a bonafide attempt within their riding capabilities?
Unfortunately its down to that volunteer observer again who also has to judge how many dabs they have had, whether they stopped or didn't stop etc, etc.
My personal opinion if anyone is brave enough to go across Grouse Moor at full chat then fair play.
I have ridden enough SSDT's to know that when I got to a section after the mother of all moor crossings, what I thought I could do was far removed from what actually happened and that is reality
-
I have been telling people for years about trials being a minority sport, all you hear is that trials manufacturers should be doing this and that in reality you need bike sales. Maybe grass track has less of a following, but we will never reach the realms of Road Racing, Moto X, Enduro etc. where as said the money is
-
Thing is if the rules state you only have to enter the section then why waste 10 minutes struggling and pushing through?
One of the reasons I stopped going to Sheffield was one year a rider missed a section out to finish on time, rather than ride the section maybe get a 5 and incur some time penalties?
Back to the Scott if it saves time and your hanging then why struggle?
-
Hey Cope still riding the green machine and boy above has got his own 4RT!
He still gotta a lot of catching up to this old man he is too busy fighting wars in Afghanistan, but back now so he needs to get out and play?????
-
Heard Jono Richardson and Sam Connor were going well
-
Not looking good reckon the owner/director needs to take a good look at where his business is going?
-
Not quite sure but I found this on another website if its true?
Dear friends,
I Just wanted to write some words due to the latest rumours that started to appear regarding my situation towards Jotagas. So that, it is me personally who is in the position to administrate those words.
True,
I decided to move away from the company temporarily, but not from the project; the reasons, I prefer not to go in to much detail over these, but it is a reality that some differences of opinion regarding how to run the business, this is towards the actual person administrating/ owning it have appeared. I do not want to continue being part of the business element. until those are solved. Honestly, from my deep hart, I hope this situation will be solved soon, based on a path on which I feel myself comfortable.
For further information do not hesitate to contact me.
Jordi Tarrés.

Seems Jordi has left the building?
-
Big John is your man on here he will be able to tell you PM him?
-
Hell now Dabster's Mum is getting involved???
-
You really need to think before pressing the keyboard, as I said before what the hell has the SSDT got to do with this thread only you and you alone can relate too, but I will humour you?
Our club trial has the same number of 'Lines' as the WTC but again I really don't see the relevance?
Back to the SSDT to help you a tiny bit in 1996 I was riding my 19th SSDT, Jim McCom phoned my brother asking him for an entry as I was one of only 197 ish riders, the reason I suspect is that the sections got too hard and with 2 1/2 hours delay at Grey Mares Tail due to the rules allowing you to hop and stop for 5 minutes made it a looooong week. Then Willie Dalling said lets go back to our roots and make it NO STOP the rest my friend is history?
Over subscribed each year if you want an entry your in the Ballot, the best riders will come and don't win (Cabastany) and the formula works so why in Gods name would YOU want to change it? I have done 24 SSDT's I would be curious to know how many you have done so you can gauge an opinion, not that you need to I think everyone knows the story?
Yeh the SSDT ain't working thank christ your not in charge to make it better?
The WTC needed to change they are trying things and it may or may not work, but in your world you want to go back to the broken rules and implode, I would love to hear your comprehensive ideas on how you would make it so much better?
-
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Best yet!!!!!
-
You need to read up on your history of the SSDT, with dwindling entries (one year 167?) WD made the bold move to return the event to No Stop, the rest is history, because if you want to put an entry in now you will be in a pot of c400 people?
Go back to stop allowed............No Chance
Why the SSDT has any relevance to what happened at the weekend only you can answer?
-
I have a pretty good idea what would happen if I swapped my bike with Bou or Raga
-
So now it is the observers fault (have we not been here many times before) hell who else do you want to point the finger at?
