  1. I hope it works for you, I just know that I can not find a glue to do that sort of job very well, plastic can be a bugger to glue to. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
  2. Hi, I have been using 'silage tape' [a very wide roll of sticky plastic] to seal the gap between the mudgaurd and the top of the airbox, and that has worked a treat although it needs to be replaced after every wash off, no big deal to do again though. This afternoon I have tried slitting a piece of rubber fuel pipe and running that along this edge to see if this will make a more permanent seal, time'll tell though. I would be interested to know what glue you all use to stick the rubber to the mudguard please? Thanks
  3. Thanks for the advice everyone: Just to be sure then I adjust the chain so that when I have my full weight on it there is about 20mm between tensioner and underside of swingarm? Right, I think I have it now, just adjusted it and have the 'thumb gap' whether it's on or off the stand. It does seem quite tight, but that is probably because I had it way to loose before. Thanks again.

  5. When it's off or on the stand? Cheers if you have a maintenance stand then i would advise using that :-) Thank you, I'll give that a go.

  7. I know this is probably a silly question... Since riding a trials bike I have never been really sure where a chain should be adjusted. I know how to adjust but not to what tension. Can any of you far more experienced riders give me some pointers please. Thank you.
  8. Sorry if this is old news. But I see that the MRS site has a downloadable brochure for the 08 range. It's in the 'news' tab. Does anyone know when these will be in the UK and prices?

How much are you paying, and have you paid yet?
  11. Great forum, I've gleaned plenty of info from the posts, thanks. Newish to trial after years of road bikes and road racing, discovered trials bikes a couple of year ago now and absolutely love riding my 290. My road bike is under covers losing money steadily, whereas my trials bike is in a constant cycle of ride, wash, oil, ride, wash, oil, ride, wash, oil. Even though I ride A fair bit, I am yet to muster up the courage to enter a trial, I will though Anyway, Hello!

Don't worry, if it is the Astars trials boots that you've bought, then they are really comfortable. Mine were super comfy from the first time of wearing and have just got better. They are my first ever pair of trials boots, [newish to trials] so I am not an expert however I can compare them to my road/roadrace, MX and even my trainers come to that and they are be my first choice of footwear. Had mine for abou 10 months now, wear them once to twice a week and no problems at all, as yet. Got a funeral to go to this week and I would wear them there if they went with my suit.
