I must say that close up of the front is starting to look a different shade of red than the picture of the side of the bike

YAMAHA DUDE thats what im saying it looks red in the images but the 2005 rev 80 i have seen is the same colour as the 2004 model apart from the back mudgaurd which is silver.

Hi BIGFOOT my son rode a GasGas 50 for about 18 months. We never had a problem with the clutch .The only thing i think it may be is the piston on the clutch lever is sticking or maybe the lever needs adjusting.I also have seen one converted to a manual clutch.The two problems we did have with the GasGas 50 was the frame broke where the top shock mounting fits on to the frame.The second one was the first gear broke a tooth off the cog.I must add to this he did ride a trial nearly every weekend for the 18 months we owned it including some nationals.I hope you get the clutch sorted on yours and your son enjoys his GasGas as much as my son did. Saw a 2005 Beta rev 80 today. Its got a silver back mudguard but the rest of it is the same colour orange as the 2004 model. I was wondering if anyone knows if the 125/200/250/270 are finished in the same colour. As the 2005 model looks red in all the images i have seen of it.

THERE ARE THREE REASONS I DONE THIS ONE IS TO MAKE HIM A BETTER RIDER. TWO IS I WOULD PREFER HIM TO BE AT THE BACK OF MORE SKILLFUL RIDERS THAN IN FRONT OF BEGGINERS. THREE IS TO GIVE OTHER CHILDREN IN THE BEGGINERS CLASS A CHANCE TO WIN .

GAFF IVE REMOVED THE LOOM AND FITTED THAT STYLE KILL SWITCH ON ALL MY BETAS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.

I ASKED ONE OF THE IMPORTERS AT THE DIRT BIKE SHOW.IF ANYONE MAKES A PROPER TRIALS TYRE TO FIT 19 INCH WHEELS.I WAS TOLD NOBODY DOES BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH DEMAND FOR THEM

Anybody got any ideas on how to get enough observers at trials, because at the trials we attened they have a lack of observers especially at the youth trials. My son is to young to go round the trial by himself so what i do is take my wife and my daughter to observe and i help to set the trials out, clear up afterwards and be a comitee member. It always seems to be the same people observig week after week when there is plenty of other parents who just turn up and watch.

Eiger i have a Honda tlr 250 and the brakes were crap.I dont know if this will work on a Yamaha what i do is file the brakeshoes flat at the pivot end.This allows the brakeshoes to float in the hub.So that when you apply the brakes the whole face of the brakeshoe makes contact with the hub.This gives you much better brakeing. IF POSSIBLE NEXT TIME YOUR SPARKPLUG FOULS UP MAYBE YOU COULD KEEP IT AND TAKE A CLOSE UP PHOTO OF IT AND PUT IT ONTO THE COMPUTER WITH THE OTHER INFORMATION SO THAT FEETUPFUN CAN SEE IT. HE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT HES TALKING ABOUT AND MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU FURTHER. GOOD LUCK ENDO KID

DG I meant i dont think they turn as good as some other bikes ive ridden .This is only my opinion but going back to the original question asked i think they are a good reliable bike.
