  1. Can anyone talk me through removing and re-fitting both the front and the rear tyre's on a 08 Gas Gas? Any bikes ive had in the past have always been done by a dealer because it has needed balancing, but its not nessisary on a trials bike so its probably time I learned how to do it myself! Ive got an air compressor if this makes things easier? Any help much appreciated! Tom
  2. Looking for some new tyres for my 08 Gas Gas, Originally had Michelin X11's but Id like to look into other brands. My bike isnt on the road so the Michelin's arent essential. What would you reccomend? All the best Tom
  3. Very Nice......Gotta get me one of them red frames! Tom
  4. There was a delay because of lack of forks in the gas gas factory, but my bike was already at GasGas UK waiting for me, it only needed picking up. I bought it in february anyway so way after christmas. Tom
  5. I was told mine was in the shop for a month when in fact it had been 1 day! I dont mind waiting as long as I know where I stand. It seems a common tactic with alot of businesses to get your trade by saying "it wont take long" and then giving every excuse under the sun as to why you havnt received the product you have placed a deposit on. Hows the bike? scrtatched it yet? mines looking alot older, especially my front pipe! Tom
  6. Gotcha, bike is an 08 gasgas 300 and has the standard suspension set up. im not up on suspension so will have to get someone to take a look at it, the bike does feel good suspension wise though, a hell of alot better than my old beta! Tom
  7. He is doing a school at barnsley on the 17th/18th may and thats not far from me, might have to give it a shot Tom
  8. Like most young riders, My skills lie in flying up big rocks, hopping about and taking on stuff that generally requires more gonads than skill. However Fun this might be, I really need to improve on the basic stuff like finding grip. Does anyone have any tips (no matter how basic) for making the bike grip better in slippery conditions? All the best Tom
  9. I was told it would be ready way before It actually was. I was told 1 - 2 weeks max for the wheels to be done. Everyone paid for their own sarnies. Tom
  10. I didnt think you had to have a speedo by law? Tom
  11. Ello Tom, I dont think it would be worth having on a 290, I have one on my Gas Gas 300 and it looks really trick, and I would say it gave me a little more bottom end grunt but to be honest I wouldnt miss it. They are great for 125's as the extra power is needed. One down side to them is that they dint easily! mine looks bad already hehe. But if you have the money, why not treat yourself? All the best Tom
  12. cheers Jon, already done that trick, works a treat! I use araldite though not superglue, and 1200 grade wet and dry! (takes forever but worth it). I told Dean Thomas (Ex BSB Rider) about that trick and he had never heared of it, took the fork to show him and he couldnt believe how smooth it was. I have a couple of fork guards but somehow something managed to get to them! Tom
  13. thanks for the advice =] In the end I got hold of a 17mm one and just ground it down to fit! just gotta repair the fork tube now and im all done. Thanks again =] Tom
  14. Bugger me its hard trying to find a 16mm hex key! Tom
  15. Cheers for the sound advice Jon, Ive always tightened axles right up so glad I know better now! Tom
  16. cheers Jon, looks to be 16mm, will get myself off to halfrauds tomorrow to see what ridiculous price ill have to pay for 1 socket! Tom
  17. Scorpa3, I recognise your Display Picture from somewhere, you dont by any chance go on the Honda Hornet forum too do you? Tom
  18. I would be 100% with the 250, If you can ride a bike with relative competance you shouldnt have any trouble with a 250, especially with the extra weight you may find the 125 frustrating. I would say that if the bikes been stored well and only used once It would be worth what he is asking. if you want to be certain, the best way is to try both of them and take it from there. Where abouts are you from? All the best Tom
  19. Does anyone know what siz Hex key is needed to take the front wheel spindle out? looks massive so need to buy one! Tom
  20. Shows what I know! I just assumed as Id never seen a 2006 Raga or a 2004 one. youll have to excuse me....only been in the sport a few months hehe. will have to get me one next year then! Tom
  21. aye, previously they have been releasing them every 2 years, but the last one they did was in 2007, and they are releasing a new one for 2008. Tom
  22. aye I know.....how annoying is that! if I had known they were realeasing another raga this year instead of taking the usual year gap id have waited! Tom
  23. aye probably better not, Im going up tomorrow afternoon If I can find someone to go with, ridden on my own before and usually end up in a ditch somewhere hehe.
  24. Aye, I remember now, you were the guy I was watching closely for tips whilst wondering "Is this guy going for the SSDT? Thats a bloody big tank!" Will have to have a chat next time =] Tom
