    Oops

I've just made a start on stripping my tl125 engine and removed the rockers to clean them up. unfortunately I forgot to mark them inlet and exhaust and now I cant remember which is which (it's been a while since I did anything like this) one is marked .53 and the other .57. Any advice on which is which please? ALSO.... I was given a 192cc four stroke single engine with my box of bits and it is pretty much complete and much newer than my tl motor. engine type is JC09E and it may or may not be from a honda trike. Has anyone out there fitted one to a TL125 because it seems to fit on the frame or, in fitting with the rest of this project, have i got something weird here?. Once again thanks in advance D
  4. YOU EITHER NEED CARB OF OLD HONDA CD175 OR EARLY CB125.BOTH THESE WILL MAKE BIKE BETTER.BUT THE CHANCES OF FINDING THEM ARE VERY REMOTE.YOU WILL NOTICE BOTH THESE CARBS HAVE NICE EASY WIRE THAT HOLDS ON FLOAT BOWL,GREAT IF YOU GET WATER IN CARB YOU CAN UNCLIP AND TAKE BOWL OF IN SECONDS. Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that the carb would pose some probs but I'm sure I'll turn one up somewhere. Mine is beyond repair so i'll have to work something out. Cheers D
  5. I am about to embark on a complete rebuild of a TL125s 124cc 1976- model. One of the many things required is a new carb body as the flange on mine has cracked (this seems to be a common problem). Can anyone advise on the availability of a suitable carb and whether one from another Honda single will fit should I have difficulty obtaining the TL one. Thanks in advance. I have a feeling I will be posting a lot on this forum D
  6. Hello everyone just introducing myself I rode clubman trials back in the late 70s on a Bultaco sherpa 250. And I route marked on the SSDT in 1982. Sadly lack of money, marriage, children etc (all the usual things!) put an end to it all but I have maintained an interest throughout the years. Anyways, I have just bought a Honda TL125s (1977-8) which conveniently came in numerous boxes carrier bags and in an interesting state of repair, which I intend to use all of my dubious mechanical skills to rebuild. (I was also a car mechanic during the late 70s-early 80s- But I worked on Fiats and Lancias so I don't know if that counts). I will no doubt be posting on the forums on a regular basis seeking advice and parts etc so hopefully we will get to know each other. Fortunately my wife is very understanding and has become used to the fact that she is married to a grown up? child and she is being very encouraging regarding my latest cunning plan. Maybe she just likes to get me out of the house. All the best D
