If it was a 4 stroke maybe, 2 strokes don't usually get that hot.
-
I was told by the Mojo rep that mojo were made by EFX, you can by the same holographic technology bands from EFX for 20p each!

The actual Mojo ones are now been sold, someone's making a tidy profit.

Sherco bikes up to frame number 003530 came with just one seal, so it possible your bike may only have one seal.
-
Gaerne
You can buy them from here.
-
The new 2011 bike now comes with a inline filter before the pump.
-
I'd get it welded in place rather than bolting it.
I'm fairly certain my 07 bike had a plate welded across the back of that piece.
-
Yeah you can.
I'd recommend cleaning the shaft up really well before removing the seal, if necessary use some emery cloth to remove any rust.
Before putting the new seal on wrap the end of the shaft with insulation tape to prevent the seal snagging and smear some grease on the sealing surface of the seal.

The sizes are wrote down here
-
I'd say yes definitely.
It makes the bottom end alot smoother when setup right, which has got to be good for any standard of rider.

Check the pilot jet size, it might have a 30 in it, if so swop it for a 33.
Get a inline fuel filter fitted before the fuel pump, were the fuel exits the tank down by the chain, it's probably worth cleaning the fuel pump too as any little bits left over from manufacturing the tank will slowly get sucked up into the pump stopping it working properly, this will lead to lean running and knocking/pinking noises.
One last thing check the breather pipe for the tank isn't sticking out of the bottom of the bike, if it is it can get blocked with mud which will make your bike run really rough. I cut mine off at a 45 degree angle and make it quite a bit shorter so it's out of the way of any mud. Also check the pipe isn't kinked under the rear mudguard.
Hope this helps.

On a side note, are the graphics they are selling breaking copy right laws?
-
-
You can fit all the stickers upto and including the 2005 graphics, the later ones don't match up very well but I have seen it done.
-
This might help Fork diagram
-
There is a bolt missing out of the front brake caliper, part number M262 M8 x 30 Allen head make sure you get one before riding it!
Otherwise it looks good, enjoy.
-
I think so, well all the 2 stroke bikes haven't since 2002 anyway.
-
It would have to be at least 10mm longer for it to strike the piston, so don't worry about that.
Just had a look at them and they are less than 1mm different.
-
That's weird, I'd of thought they would be more likely foul being a lower temp, In theory the plug tips are suposed to get hot enough to self clean by burning off the oily carbon deposites, I've got a BPR4ES that I'm going to try one day so it will be interesting to see how it compares.
I've run a BPR6EIX during the SSDT, my idea was it would help keep the engine temperature down and stop the engine pinking on the road but it didn't make any noticeable difference, I did alternate days on the BPR5IEX so I should have noticed if there was any difference.
I think I've read that each number step up is equivalent to a 100 degrees C rise in tip temperature.

Shercos have never had separate compression and rebound damping adjusters
-
They use the Marzzochi forks I think so follow a Gasgas guide.
-
There is a good possibility it may be slightly blocked so take it out anyway and blow it through with a air line.
-
Assuming it is a 2006 or later bike the right leg has the damping adjuster (small brass adjuster on the top of the leg) turn this adjuster clockwise to slow the fork down, anti clock wise to speed it up, I have mine around 2 clicks in from full out. The left leg has a allen key adjuster on the top of the leg turning the clock wise alters the amount of pre-load on the spring so therefore alters your ride height when your riding, this is called sag.

The early 250's originally came with a Mahle piston in which was later swapped to the Vertex one, the 290's have always had the vertex piston this changed slightly from year to year with the half moon shaped cut out as mentioned and also the later bikes now come with a special low friction coating on the piston, probably PTFE.
The 1999 bikes were 250's only.
