  1. Stupid Cricket is now on instead! England v Sri Lanka if you are interested However I've just looked through the weekly tv guide on the sky box itself and round 4 is on at 9.15pm on Thursday 19th Nov. If England get beaten quite quickly they may show some of the other rounds instead. Also following this at 10.15pm is the Trials Des Nations from Poland so perhaps a little bonus to make up for the cricket perhaps? The most up to date online listing does show that 8pm Friday 3rd December will show round 1 of the world round so fingers crossed. Rich

  3. No there is no removable lining on these. It's a shame, I pull the lining down and wash it, then let it dry out. I have the air flo helmet. Still great value.
  4. Oh thats not chives... its good old traditional lawn grass. Great for those SSDT punctures. Forget the dog turds, stuff your tyre full of the grass. The coke can is useful for when your water pipe bursts and you need to repair it. How could you not work out what it was for? Lots of people have thanked the inventor for including that in the product!
  5. I have just found this great invention. I don't know who invented it, but is that a one piece steering column on there too? This is what Dougie needed all along!
  6. There is a page on facebook for them, only 3 fans but I am sure one of them must be connected to the business somehow? Section Five Trials Ltd I presume your bank card says visa debit? If so not a credit card. Good luck. Rich
  7. Thats me looking for a seat. I wonder if you bought the bike off ebay with the black and red tank and upside down forks? There is full front brake set on ebay, off a TY but will fit. Rich
  8. Hi, I think you may struggle to get forks as a lot of guys like using them for conversions on older bikes. You may find a few other air cooled mono's like Aprillas had the same shock though. Mine is none standard, I have no idea what it came off but it works. Calipers again are similar on other bikes, I think both Brembo and Grimeca fit. I have a spare front caliper but its probably seized. As TrickyDicky said, Steve Goode and Lampkins are your best bet. There is a parts diagram freely available if you google TR34 parts. Its also worth searching TR34 on here as there is a fair few threads from over the years. Decals are a nightmare, what year is it? If you are unsure Lampkins have a list of frame numbers online. A decent bike seems to fetch about
  9. It looks like all the previous TR34 owners have upgraded or broken their bikes as they have stopped asking questions! Therefore it is my turn to ask a newbie question. I've not done an oil change on my 1989 TR34 yet and I have no idea what oil to use. Reading other threads has left me bamboozled. I know I need 800cc gear oil as it states this on the Beta website. What is the best grade oil as I don't have to worry about having a Beta with a dodgy hydraulic clutch? Also I'm currently using up an old Motul 2T oil at about 70/1 with the expensive shell high octane petrol. The trusty Beta website says I should use Semi Synthetic so I was looking at either the PJ1 or Silkolene stuff. However on other threads the common suggestion is Castrol TTS, so is this just as good even for an older bike like mine? Any guidance is much appreciated. Rich
  10. Have you considered looking for USA size 5? That should be between UK size 3 and 4. Obviously you are relying on the listings being accurate though. The Alpinestars Motocross Tech 3 or 4 series look similar but would probably be too tough. These are easily available in kids sizes. Perhaps a dealer selling those could find out if No-Stops are made in a smaller size? I've sent you a PM with a link to an american stockist of size 5. Hope it helps Rich
  11. From what I can find online, the full face helmets say they are ACU gold standard approved. the listings say they are EC-2205 STANDARD which is what the ACU ask for. Other threads on here seem to suggest this is fine in the UK. http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index....showtopic=24624 I have just won a blue one for
  12. Beta Uk Should have all models from 1986 to 2005 Also has photos of each years bike so you could maybe compare? Hope it helps. Rich
  13. Looks like that may be the next step Woody. I need to order some bits from Lampkins in a couple of weeks so I can ask them too. I could scan from a brochure and get excellent resolution.
  14. Is it West country windings in Essex, UK you are after? Clicky Rich
  15. Cheers Woody, still about the same quality as what I have already but was worth a try. Nice to see some decent quality pics of these old bikes on the interweb though. Rich

    Dell Orto Phbh26

Glad you sorted the carb. I've been messing around with mine over the last couple of trials. A good clean out and a few screws turned sorted mine too! It's still slightly rich I think. Some Fork info according to Beta UK FAQ on the TR35 if you still need it: Fork Oil - Quantity Left 300cc Right 280cc. Rich
  17. Thanks, Just sent you a PM, if its the TR34 campionato ones, stick some laquer or something on them or laminate them first. 2 trials later and mine have worn away on the corners. Any one out there who can print decent quality 2 tone decals make your self known. There is a market for it! I think.
  18. This is a bit of my Yorkshire side coming out. Has anyone got a decent quality picture of the swinging arm of a TR34? I am having to make my own decals as they are obsolete. (Apart from the one thats been on ebay for

    Parts Diagram

Do a google search for " trialsport au beta " About third result down Great site with lots of beta diagrams. Australian beta dealer Not sure if this link will work.. beta parts diagram
  20. Hi Guys I'm a bit late joining in here, there is a couple of TR's currently breaking on ebay, both look like they've seen better days so its not such a disaster that they are being broken up. I got a few plastics and front brake from the bloke from Weymouth who is selling on ebay and they were exactly as described. It may well be worth having a look, if you just search for Beta TR rather than 34/35 With regards to Lampkins, I found myself ringing them up every other day checking what they had in stock. If you look on the website you can download the parts list and prices, some things like decals and plastics say obsolete but it may help get to know your bikes a little better. Everthing has part numbers that you can match up and if you search the web for "trialsport au beta tr35" you should be able to download a pdf parts list of the full bike and other models and can compare part numbers etc As Nick says Steve Goode is a great guy and extremely helpful, I spent about 3 weeks trying to source a bleed nipple and banjo for my rear caliper and 2 days after speaking to Steve he went away and found one and it arrived on my doorstep for
  21. Hi Rich, I am still on with putting my 89 TR34 together. From what I can gather both the TR35 and the Zero were launched around September 89. The 35 had the upside down forks but was still air cooled and pretty similar to the 34 apart from the forks and the all red plastics. The Zero was a leap forward with the water cooled engine, so I'm guessing the 35 was not as popular as the Zero for this reason and thats why theres not that much to be found. I still struggle to find much info on the 34 so I appreciate what it's like! Rich
  22. Aaron if you search through the air cooled momoshock section, there is a post named should I part it out, by Rick. He is somewhere in the US too, why not PM him, he was breaking up a bike a couple of weeks ago. Also here in the UK we have John Lampkin and Steve Goode who may be able to help, they have both been great for my parts. Obviously postage may be pricey though. Again if you look on the beta-uk site there is a PDF of available parts that you can search through, with prices in GB pounds.
  23. Hi Aaron I have an 89 TR34 with the dellorto carb. I find mine will only run with the mixture screw all the way in. I'm at the stage now where although I haven't ridden the bike, it will happily tick over for ten minutes in the garage. I may follow a bit of Peters advice if I find its not running too good once I'm out and about. You say your unsure if its an 87 or 88. The main difference I found is that the top of the tank and seat is white on an 87, and the 88 is blue. Also the tank stickers are white on the 87 and blue on the 88. If you want confirmation though check out lampkins beta-uk site, you can look up your frame number and there is some photos of each years model. Rich
  24. I'll PM you so we are not running a classified section.
  25. I had two TY's back in the nineties. The first was on drums and was awful in the wet, however I later got one with a front disk conversion and found it heaps better. I then moved on to a Fantic with disk front and rear and missed the last TY so much. I've been away from Trials for 8 years now, but just finishing my old mans 89 TR34 and am looking for some bits still. I thought I had a dead ignition too and spoke to steve at motoplat in spain, theres some test figures on his website to see what the problem is. Mine turned out to be a dodgy plug cap, only cost
