    I had the same issue on my 200. I left the gearing as standard but fitted a quick action throttle and it transformed the bike.

    I've ridden a 200 for years and enjoyed the majority of it. It does however lack a bit of snap at the bottom end when faced with a rock step. the reality is it has a lot more power than bikes i rode 20 years ago which were 250 upwards and i rode them on harder sections. I have also ridden the 300 and would i go back to a 200?. not a chance the 300 is a lot more fun to ride.

    It's the pad material that is causing the noise, ever since they removed asbestos from pad material we have had this problem. (cars & bike). cleaning can actually make the problem worse in some cases. My Beta suffered this problem as well as many of my customers cars and the best way is to slightly chamfer the edges,scuff up the pad using fine emery cloth along with the disc.

    Still got mine since 2006 and once warm the fan is hardley ever off. been like it since new and never had any problems.

    bought some 2 weeks ago, very comfortable but have worn on the inner RH boot after just 1 trial. my old Hebo's last 15 years.

    Hello all I'm thinking about changing my bike and going 4 stroke and having ridden both Beta and Mont I've decided that I want to treat myself and buy the Mont, my only concern is that Pidcocks have given up being the importer, so does this mean sales have dropped to such an extent it is no longer viable being the importer? Before I part with my cash anyone have any idea what the future holds for Montesa or do you think Honda will pull out? Many thanks in advance.

    I run ATF in my Rev 3 and have no problems in the last 6 years.

    I had a Fantic 245 (not 205 i know) and it was all revs. I also had an Aprillia Climber 280 which had an increible engine but the bike was very tall which made it a bit top heavy for me. I would totally agree about getting a Beta TR, mine was a 260 and it was the best early mono I ever rode.

    Thanks for all your replies. I bagged a test ride on the Beta and couldn't believe how smooth it was. It seems the Beta is cheaper and that may be a big factor. One thing for sure is that I'm going back to 4 stroke very soon........... now lets try that Mont.

    Hello all I have tried searching but have not been able find any reviews or users reports on the 4RT, so can anyone enlighten me please?. I've decided that I want to go back to 4 stroke but can't decide on Beta or Montesa, any info or suggests would be most helpful. Many thanks in advance.

    The problem up here is that the going is not the same as Kent, especially if you go the Lincoln's quarry as it;s all big rocks. I would suggest the Pegasus club which is 30mins down the A1 or the Banovallum which runs trials near Cadwell Park, other than that you have Sheffield & Hallamshire (heard a rumour they have lost Eadons Fields, hope not as it's a crackeing trial).
