If you are in the U.S. try your local dealer, on the beta usa web site there is a list of dealers. Just don't be shocked of the price the dollar is almost 1.5 to the euro.
-
Wayne, I got the chance to ride 2 of the 3 Sherco 3.2s that came into the U.S. last year. Road one at TTC and the other in New Mexico at altitude worked good at both places. Starting doesn't seam to be an issue anymore. You could leave it here at my house as an excuss to come ride with me. Give me a call typing in a pain in the b*!!.
-
Wayne, with the world round just around the corner go and give both bikes a try there. Or you could come here and try the 08 2.9 and the Rev 4 also ride with the boys again. You will not know what you want until you try them both and both has more motor then 80% or more out there need.
Cope I woulld love to have the 300 kit maybe I will order it and use the $600 national entry fee to help pay for it and stay home and have fun.
-
Loosen the allen screw and the ring should screw off. If some one tightened the allen to tight it will take a little effert to get the ring past the lightly damaged threads.
-
Tough one, now that you have the swingarm off turn it on it's side and try soaking the bolt/nut from the middle of the swing arm. You can apply heat, small mini torch works well, to the nut as long as you don't get carries away with it. I know it's kind of after the fact but I pull my shock bolts out about evert three months and regrease them. Good luck !

Beta Bodger if a photo and info will help go to www.betamotor.com click on Downloads then click on Rev 3-250/270 Manuale there you will find some info on your fork it's the same.

Copie , I do know how ! I change mine every 6 months and I do 3-4 other pair a year for other riders, mostly sherco. So put that in your coors light can and swallow. Next time your up here at the house i'll do yours for you and provide you with a cold one.
-
Cope , pump for 20 minutes to get the oil out and another 20 minutes to get the oil back in, your having way to much fun pumping.
Wayne will be getting a new bike at the Tenn. world round, so maybe some updates later.
-
May just need to replace the cable with a new one.
-
Congrats Ron jr. !!!!!!!! Live your dream.
-
I remember watching him ride at some events, impressed me ! He would try anything that was taped.
-
Keith will be a great addition to team beta, always upbeat !!
-
Tim how's the clutch doing ?
-
The beta clothing is good if you want a little looser fit ask Ron at Beta usa to order you the enduro clothing,he may have some clothing in stock in stock. Just be prepaired to pay, the dollar is weak and is effecting everything imported from europe. The Jitsie and XC-Ting is also nice.
-
Wine bottle ? did I hear wine bottle ? The boot was hit but no one got a bottle in the boot, you would think after 9 or 10 bottles one of the three us could have made one in.
Only one shot per bottle, more bottles next time Cope !

Hi Darrel I will check when power comes back on, were in the middle of am ice storm here. No power , using iphone to pass the time.
-
Hi Shannon, Happy to hear you have a new beta. Iv'e managed to put about 1 1/2 hours on mine it's getting to sit in the garage for now, I bent my right index finger back toward my wrist. I'll pm you. I had no problems with my 07.
If you plan on doing any riding at altitude call Ron Commo for some springs for the carb.
-
Feet up, I had one of the 2 07's imported in the USA last year, fantastic bike, my '08 is sitting in the garage, can't be happier with it! On the Carb/Throttle, yes it is differant it is faster (1/4 turn) than the white throttle tube (3/8 turn) you are used to. If you want to slow it down you can with a little work put a domino throttle assembly with the white throttle tube on it.
If you have any questions you can call your importer he will be happy to answer any questions you have. If you are looking for info in print you can go to the Beta
factory web site and down load two differant manuals for the 4-stroke. I down loaded and printed the manual on the motor so it on the work bench for reference if needed.
-
Darrell if I can help you with anything on the Beta 4- stroke drop me a pm or email, i'd be happy to help. Your expectations will be met !
-
Shannon I hear you should get yours tomorrow, mine will be here on friday. Can't wait I enjoyed my 07 4-stroke and the 08 should be even better !
-
Put the case screws back in and leave them out about 1/16 inch, take a round punch and put in the center of the screw, lightly tap each one. Then repete again this will walk the cases apart.
Most likely it is hanging up around the crank area.
-
You can go to the NATC web site for what looks to be an overview of the high lights of the meeting. And yes ! the entry fee is $100, don't be late it's then $200, minder fee is $50 and $100 if you are late.
I'm guessing there will still be a land use fee of $10 per day as that has been the norm lately.
-
Frank that's what my 08 calendar says. How's the 4-stroke ?
The Sooner cup has been around many years it ust to be one of neotts two days, but with the October Test and the Sooner Cup it was just to much for the neott club to do so we passed it the Tish club. Like the October Test the Sooner cup is one event to add to the calendar as a must do ! Looks like I may be able to make saturday but got to work sunday.
-
Yes Ishy, That's what I meant in my earlier post just didn't spell it out. All cost involved will be cheaper in the long run.
Entry I hear is now $100 per national $300 for the weekend with late fee at $200 per. Pony up ! Now if you have a son or daughter who rides, that would be $600 in entries for the weekend. The club will make more per entry and like you said more for the extra day. I understand that the entry fee could possibly change year to year depending on the number of nationals, as it is based on taking X amount of dollars to run the series. This is based on the info I have been sent.
