My 10 year olds clutch on his 2008 gg cadet is quite hard for him to pull in. Its as stiff if not harder to pull in than my 2010 gg 250`s clutch Is there anything i can do to upgrade this for him to make it a lot lighter to control.......

My sons 2008 gg cadet was bought new in 2009 from dealer. It hasnt been used that much tbh i would say about 40hrs max riding time. The gear oil has been changed when needed. It is becoming harder to get into first gear but is really hard to get into second and third. If youre stationary you really have to give it a real hard sharp pull to get it into gear.. It slips real easy from 1st into neutral though... Any thoughts !!!!!

Hmmmmm i guess that it is some good news that the price is down.... doesnt really fix the problem of them being easy snapped. i`ve had 2 snap in 2 months with the tie wraps on. they just break to easy. surely someone can make an aftermarket one with a lot more flex. i wouldnt even mind paying a little bit more for it if i knew it would last... surely there is a mould company out there willing to make a more flexible option and supply it to the likes of trials uk or trial enduro direct!!!!!!!!!!!! anybody ????????????????????

Thanks for the imput. Might look into buying an 08 guard and see if a 2010 sticker fits it. If it did, dont think it would look tooooo bad !!!!!!!!!! Would be better than forking out

I used to have a 2008 280 gas gas I had the rear mudguard attached with tie wraps and it took so much abuse it was unreal.... Not once did it break... i did go through alot of tie wraps though.......... much cheaper.. I then traded it for a 2010 250 gas gas. Did the same setup with the mudguard and i have broke 2 guards already with no where near the same abuse. One last week just shattered when doing a splat!!!!!!! Has anyone else found this same problem? Is it made of a different material??????

i recently lightly dropped my bike in the forest and dented the radiator, it didnt seem a hard drop at all but unfortunately it put a hole in the radiator where i needed a new one, anyway, i rang a well known gas gas parts dealer who is actually very good to deal with and ordered up a new rad, costing

i sent gas gas uk this email i recently purchased a new 08 50cc cadet from Norman Watts in N.Ireland In the user manual which you kindly forwarded to me direct, it says to put in 500cc of crankcase oil, yet this has been scored out and written in with pen 550cc. Recently a have been reading a post on a trials bike forum called trials central. On the gas gas section there is a bit of confusion on how much crankcase oil to put in to this particular bike. Some are saying as little 150cc of oil Could you please clarify for me exactly how much oil to use the next time i change it as i do not want any damage coming to the bike due to misleading print in the manual. I`m sure it would also help other gas gas users to know this. Many thanks this is reply they sent back; The TXT 50 Boy requirements are 150ml of gear oil. The 50 and 80 Cadet and Rookie models are recommended 600ml of oil. But it should be approximately 1/2 way up the sight glass whatever. 550ml is probably about right if it has just been drained rather than split open and overhauled. Hope this helps.

I have just got my son the 08 tx 50 cadet I had to get gas gas uk to send me the manual as my dealer did not have it when i bought the bike. It actually states to use 500cc but someone has scored this out with a pen before i received the manual and wrote in 550cc. I know this actually makes your situation worse from what you are saying but just be careful you dont under fill it. It would seem strange gas gas uk changing this in my manual if it where not correct. Let me know how you get on, as i would like to know myself.

I have a 42 t on mine. You have suggested changing it to a 44 but is there any disadvantages in changing the front sprocket as apposed to the back. The reason i asked is because i have a smaller front sprocket in my garage than the one on my bike. Would i get the same result by doing this?

Had an 05 250 for a bit and then had a test ride on this new bike. I know there is a lot of, oh you need to tame it down talk, but i love it
