That was it !!, I had adjusted piston pusher to try and stop the clutch dragging when i bought it, i since solved that with an oil change but adjusted lever back. I put it back where it was originaly and reverse bled all the bubbles out, it now feels good ! good stuff guys , thanks a lot !!!!!

I am trying to reverse bleed the clutch on my 98 txt, but i just cant get the fluid to go back up the pipe, the nipple isnt blocked, neither is the bit the nipple goes into, but when i put together and loosen the nipple i cant get any fluid at all back up the pipe, is there a valave or somthing, any tips much appreciated

My mate has just found quite a bit of metal fillings in his gear oil, on his 02 290. Is this normal ? My GasGas was as clean as a whistle any info much appreciated

How much transmission oil in 02 290 ? Is it the same oil as a gas gas ? and where do you fill and drain the oil ? any info much appreciated

HI please help, cant find refil plug, should the bike be on its side to refill, cant find any allen key on top of the engine left or right Cant ride tommorow until i find it !

Ok, done that. now wheres the top up plug !!!

There seems to be more than one plug underneath the sump guard which one should i use to drain the gear oil, the one nearest to the rear wheel or the one nearest to the front wheel. the bike is 98 TXT Cheers Jos

Stupid Question time from a total novice How much & what sort of engine oil do i put in my 98 TXT 270cc Plus where is the drain and top up plug Plus will my mates Sherc 270 be exactly the same Cheers Jos

Cheers for your replies Heres is the Vin Plate, Only just noticed that it says 98 on it, but the bike was sold as a 99 so bit gutted about that, should have checked (oldest trick in the book). Also noticed there is dial on top with an E on it, what should this do ?. I tried turning it but its stuck, should i try and force it ? Cheers Jos

Hi I have just got my first GasGas, I have only ever had one trials bike before , which was 13 years ago and it was a suzuki beamish so please bear with me if i dont kno the correct terms for things. I am more a pedal power guy but just moved to the Welsh Valleys do though i would give it a crack. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the bike as some one said the forks werent standard, and to be honest the dont seem to rebound all the way back and are quite soft. Is there any way of adjusting the compression and rebound, or should i just get them serviced. I know its not a Pro but seemd a good bike to start out on as i have heard they are bullet proof. Any info much appreciated !
