    New Ossa!

No translation issues with numbers: Manual says .9% or 110:1. Also factory has told me you can run down to .7% or 140:1. If i knew i was running long roads / trails I wouldn't run 140:1 either. Point being .9% is as high a mixture as you go on the efi Ossa. cheers

    New Ossa!

The actual factory recommendation is .7% to .9% which is 142:1 to 110:1. My next can of gas I'll try the .7% to compare.

    New Ossa!

It's a factory warranty, I doubt the UK is any different. The new map has more power, starts better, a higher tick over and still very smooth and tractable on the bottom end. Tick over is adjustable via the diagnose program it appears but I haven't done it yet, I like it where it is. 2t mixture is 110:1 synth. which I think might catch people off guard using fuel for their previous bike. cheers

    New Ossa!

Good question, no crystal ball here but as always - supply and demand decides the price but there is historical data that helps put a person in the general price area. I'll ask two more questions. Does the Ossa's 2 year transferable parts and labour warranty come in to the equation? What will a carbureted 2t be worth 12 months from now? cheers

    New Ossa!

Do you envision a completely new dealer network to sell Ossa or will it be the very same dealers your concerned about? Or, are you concerned about the importers? cheers
  6. high end elitist bike - 800 to 1000 units to the end of the year, bike to be presented in April or May - wow!

    New Ossa!

    63 kg's or 138.5 lbs.
  8. I think the commentator had said that Fajardo had beaten Bou in riding in the quarters but stalled the bike at one point to push him to second. Why Caby would ever concede first place to Bou and say second is OK in the interview is giving Bou more of a psychological advantage. Bou is human and will not always win. Plus, it always better for any sport to have parity. The question is, who will unseat him? cheers

a little early to say who will be riding an Ossa, with the factory replica available?

    New Ossa!

Eventually yes, I do have a customer from Ontario that plans to ride in the NATC Nationals in Penn. and Tenn. Who knows, there maybe more new Ossa owners that might make the trip down including myself. cheers
  11. Deadline to get your Canadian Tdn application in is March 18. click here - http://www.canmocycle.ca/flyers/TdN%20Application%20&%20Memo%202011.pdf
  12. To this guy that doesn't know me - I'm honoured to be associated with Ossa, they have an outstanding product, I never wonder about anything in business, there is something called due diligence, you are off topic
  13. Ossa Factory press release For the 2011 trial racing season Ossa Factory came to an agreement in late December 2010 with Petromiralles, who is the main sponsor for Ossa Racing Team (ORT) in 2011 and 2012. Without this sponsor for 2011-2012 Ossa would not be able to compete in world indoor and outdoor championships and run there rider Jeroni Fajardo and the race team. Contractual agreements start with the official team presentation and Marseille indoor on the 22nd January 2011 being the first official competition with machine and rider in Petromiralles The official Team presentation was scheduled for 1st week of January, but due to problems in delivery for the riding gear this has been postponed, it is now set for the 20th of January in Barcelona. We had hoped to have everything in place for the Sheffield indoor on the 8th January 2011 for Jeroni to compete and debut the new Ossa TR280i. This was not possible and out of the Ossa Factory's Control, we could not jeopardize our agreement with main sponsor Petromirelles, We apologies to Avondale Management, (Sheffield indoor), and all ticket holders. Joan Gurt Maynou General manager Ossa Factory
  14. Fajardo will participate in Marseille the 22nd of January, as the first Ossa indoor World Championship. The indoor in Sheffield is an extra and Ossa cannot participate because of breach of contract.
  15. Exactly Andy, The sponsor has not provided the gear and contractually is preventing Ossa's appearance. Too bad this was not posted to start this thread. Of course ossa wants to participate in Sheffield, but they are not allowed to to!!!
  16. There is a contractual issue with the Team's major sponsor that prevents Ossa from participating at Sheffield. (Would you risk loosing your major sponsor for a demonstration event or a non-world event)
  17. I'm using rock shocks at 350 mm. It's nice to be able to dial in the damping to what you want and they're light.
  18. I ride both, 50 / 50 vintage lines are generally easier requiring far less clutch/break, simply ride smooth, stay centred and practice the fundamentals, less impactive on my body. modern is great, completely different of style of riding, i find a little more impactive on my body, stop and go, more power and certainly ride tougher, tighter sections and bigger obstacles. jmo

    First win?

Looks like Nigel Birkett competed also so an educated guess is first went to Stephen on the new bike. Nice to see the bike getting out there.

  23. congrats to Spencer, the CPTA board and members- the CMA is now back in 4 of 5 provinces that have trials in Canada. "Canadian Trials United" certainly has it's foundation. I'll be there to support your efforts! cheers

    NEW SHOCKS

I've used Rock shocks on an Ossa Mar and now on my gripper over the past two years. Light, you can adjust the damping in about 15 min (no nitrogen) and I haven't had an issue with them. cheers
  25. At the first of August I would have liked to shared my experience of visiting the Ossa Factory including my impressions of the "first to try it ride". The version I tried was set up for Euro 3 emissions and that was perfect for my intermediate level of riding. What I can tell you is that I concur with the reports coming out now from those who have ridden the bike including Nigel B. I think GG riders will find the least amount of change in ergonomics but the motor with EFI will be the major topic for all the new testers, which of course will happen very soon. In my opinion 2T EFI is as revolutionary to trials as the monoshock and disc brakes in the 80's. As for the factory visit I was escorted by the the export manager and visited with the president, head mechanic, quality control etc, etc, absolutely every facet of the factory. I was extremely fortunate to have lunch with Xui, the engineer and understand the entire process for the bike's development, the hurdles they must get over and the future. Everyone I met was gracious and I really think they were tickled at that time to finally share this project with someone outside of Ossa. Hope I haven't crossed the line here... cheers
