  1. Thanks for the advice,I will go and 'play' tommorow and try the forks at different heights also the needle in the carb is set one from the top. Do most people run them on the 4th from top as per the manual.
  2. Thanks for the advice have changed both engine and fork oil today, also managed to clean half of abeach out of the carb. Looks like the original filter was in,it fell apart in my hands.
  3. Hi just got hold of a ty175 and am looking at changing the oil, what is recommended? Also how much 2 stroke oil in 5litres. If there is any advice all is gratefully recieved

  5. How much fork leg should be above the top of the clamps for correct setting? My bike tends to plough a bit and had the fork seals done awhile ago and he didnt know what height to set them. Cheers in advance

  7. Try some Plus gas Its penetrating oil but expands in the joint braking up rust etc. Have had good sucess in the past good stuff much better than average well known spray products. Good luck

  10. Might be a bit stupid asking this, what is the best way to stop this happening is it a case fitting a spacer or altering suspension settings. I weigh about 14 stone. Exhaust is rather thin and would rather not wear through it. Back tyre pressure at 5psi.
  11. Hi, I work relining annd covering cases etc. I would recommend evo-stik time bond. you still leave it to dry for a while but it still moves enough to give that perfect fit. Hope this helps you can get it in most d.i.y stores

  13. Good that its just not me looking, apparently Bere Regis Motorcross track has a practice facility on wednesday afternoons and a couple of sundays a month

  15. Just bought a beta 270 but know nothing about the servicing and could benefit from a manual. Where do i get one. Next fuel tap which setting is which, sorry to sound so daft. How much should having forkseals done cost or can someone talk me through it
