I have been wondering for a while what the difference between fast and slow throttles is. i have only ever used the fast (white tube) ones, and i was thinking of trying a slow one just to see how it feels. any advice would be good as i would hate to buy one put some grips on and find it is useless. my bike is a syr with a jap spec flywheel and advanced timeing. cheers..

The same tine that happend to albert happend to me. i was considering bridgeing it with a scotch lock to save hassle in the future as i just dont trust it.

Hi folks, i was thinking of treating my lady to a weekend watching the lakes 2 day. is there any camping there? is it a good one to watch? has anyone got any directions or can tell me how to get there from richmond n,yorks. cheers

Have you tried hi octane fule, ie superunleaded. Its common for 315's to do this.

Just stripped it out and found the selector shaft end sitting in the bottom. looks easy to fit so i have ordered one from birketts.

Just had to call it a day because my 05 sy 2t is stuck in first. Everything was going well then all of a sudden i noticed there was only one gear, i had no big off or anything. The shift return spring seems fine so i am not sure. has anyone had this problem?

you would be better with an older looked after bata than a thrashed sherco.

I wash my bike after use, sometimes the next day. in winter i clean it str8 away after transpot, road salt is not good for the exposed parts. i clean with pro-clean then protect with wd gt85 or if i feel flush i use the muc-off spray protection. i dont see the harm in letting field mud sit for a while but i am just a little anal.

T w bikesport in richmond is closer for me, but your probaly right with the mich, i have been tempted by dunlops tho.

I am just about to put a new set of tyres on my sy, i have an x11 for the rear but am unsure of what to put on the front.. i know most of you guys will just tell me to put a mich on the front too, but i have been told that some of the cheaper tyres are just as good on the front.
i am probably the skintest rider in the uk.. if not a close second to tt5th
As always any feedback would be great as i value your opinions.

Thanks for the fast reply guys. its working better than ever now. I removed the pipe from the resevoir and put a smaller pipe with a srynge full of fluid down it and slid the clip back over, then opend the bleed nipple. nothing happend. so i removed the nipple which was full of crud, cleaned the crud out and started again. this worked first time!

i have lost all power in my rear brake, the bike was taken apart for powdercoating. while it was apart the master cylinder came off the resevoir. could anyone expleain how to bleed it?

Total rubbish, why should it be frownd upon to ride a converted bike. how standard are the bike you see in the pre 65 at the scottish?

This can happen if the gear shift shaft gets bent at all, also i have seen this when the shift return spring goes. Not a difficult job to fix tw bikesport did mine for little cash.

you should use atrixo hand cream and swich to fairy liquid.

directional arrows mean nothing when used in trials . turn your tyres when it starts to loose grip.
