What part of Richmond was it stolen from?

Birkett's set my bike up from new to be soft, they knocked the timing back.

You can get a new Bush for them, however it will probably still wobble a bit.

Take off the flywheel cover and post a pic up, I've had a few SY's and messed about with different weights from 2.4 to 3.1kg, to be honest anything less than 2.7 and I would leave well alone, I would whip yours off weigh it and look at the timing if your wanting more pep, im pretty sure yours will have a 2.7 on.

If its right way up the only adjustment is down there is no way of changing the angle to point up, when on the bike your already lent over the bars all you get is tank footage, if you set your Go-pro to record upside down i just saves you flipping the image in your computer and makes clips instantly watchable.
-
I have been using a Chesty mount, camera flipped and set to record upside down, tilt Go-pro 5cm ish, the higher the camera the flatter the terrain looks.
I haven't got any trials footage together but here is a quick edit i did when i get the chest mount, i'm probably going to get a small extension to space it out when i get time to experiment.

5! you missed the end flag
Are you using your Go-pro in standard position or do you turn it upside down on the chesty and make the Go-pro record upside down?
Cheers dude

I would drop the oil, it's a very cheap and easy job. As for the throttle, it could be pushed too far on the bars, or it could be simply worn and full of muck, I would strip and clean it first or maybe just buy a new one.
-
I use Duck oil, a 5l can has lasted years and is only half used, spray on and wipe off excess.
-
call and ask if it comes with instructions?
I fitted a couple so it cant be that hard.

Air filter and airbox cleaning is pretty important on the Sy as they can be a b#*+h to get the carb off without stripping half the bike, i always make sure mine is immaculate i clean out the airbox when i do the carb, the filter gets washed with Fairy liquid and re-oiled with Pj1 spray, if i pressure wash the bike i always remove the mudguard in pop a rag or kitchen roll in the top of the filter to stop water getting in and dragging muck into the airbox.
maybe im a bit anal but anyone who the had to clean an SY carb in the middle of nowhere will understand.
The only other thing i do is spray Duck oil on the thing and swap the oil every now and then.
Great bikes, i was very sad when i sold my 08 as it was the best bike i have ever had.

Failed stator would be my guess. Same thing happend on an 06 I had.

What brand of oil is everybody using? i've used Motul 701 for as long as i can remember, i hear a lot a chatter about Castrol, A747 i think is it any good?
Just picked up a new Scorpa today and if i remember rightly i was told to run it at 70:1.
