I'm just down the road in Richmond. I had a TYS for a little while and loved it, great little bike, I regret selling mine. Birketts have the little 4T scorpas in stock now so hopefully there will be a few more knocking about.

Are you from the uk? i would buy a new set of pads and clean the disc with brake/carb cleaner before buying a new disc.

I did that in my mothers garage, how we laughed.
Well we laughed years later once she had forgiven me as the garage is connected to the house and the fumes had permeated her kitchen.

Might look a bit mental on the front of my hatchback no doudt, i was thinkin more of fabricating a rear bike rack not using the Scorpa as a bull bar.

This happened to me on a rev4t I managed to unscrew it with I flat screwdriver, I may have been very very lucky.

Pee on them. 60% of the time it works every time.

Clutch side cases for 250 2T are around £450 \ $725 new, used ones come up for sale every so often. I have a nice one in my spares box.

Jtrials31 - is it the clutch or stator case you need?

Mine is similar, I fitted a reach adjuster in the lever, sometimes I give it a twiddle. There is also a gods chance the exhaust could do with re packing of something like that, what oil are you running? Some seem to degrade quicker than others.

You would probably be better off on a 2T as a learner anyway, once you get into it you may find the 4T i bit of a handful, my advice would be to find a TYS/SY 125/175 as a first bike you will learn much quicker.

Nice, is it an accident the bike and bin are the same blue, did he have a bit left over from painting the bin or was the bin his inspiration?

I had one on a Scorpa, its just a CRF/CR 250/450, i got mine from E-bay usa then had Al the spanner make me a pipe, the whole thing cost around £60 if i remember rightly, its a good easy mod.

I've only ever come across one aftermarket pipe for the the SY, it was on a Jap web site but i cant find it now, i tried to buy some bit's from the site at the time but my Japanese is not so hot and i failed.
How much is a genuine one from Birk's?
